Doing it properly does mean that you should be able to reclaim the Singapore GST

You can only claim GST back from Singapore if you fly. Driving through the causeway does not entitle you to GST refund.

Actually I'm interested on MISSION bookshelf speaker, LX-2+ which can dive deep to lower frequency, spec at 45Hz to 30kHz for +-3dB which seems great for bookshelf speaker. Saw Singapore there got selling SGD499, after convert should be RM15xx. But then the effort to go there purchase and taxing, if exceeding RM2k, is really too much for a "bookshelf speaker" imo. If nett price RM1.5k still can consider. Local MISSION seller doesn't carry this model I see.
Another choice I found would be some Dali Spektor 2, which can chunk out 54Hz,, selling about 1.3k locally.

Also considering used MISSION M32 which is about RM500. But then, I thought used speaker could be abused by previous owners, maybe tweeter not functioning as expected, crossover non accurate requiring reworks etc...

Crossovers rarely break.
Tweeters and the woofer surrounds are things to check on used speakers.
I take a test cd or my laptop along when buying second hand and test with pink noise.
Look out for drivers replaced with another type. Do some research on what the speaker should look like.

Take the specs with a pinch of salt. There are other external factors that will influence the sound such as where the speakers are placed and room. Quality and control of bass is just as important as how low it goes. No point low bass but flabby and rumbly.

The only way a small speaker can go low is by sacrificing efficiency.
You will also find that the harmonic distortion at low frequencies gets really bad at higher levels.
Clean and strong deep bass requires big drivers.

So I compromise by give up using Source Direct option, turn up Bass knob and walah, this is the bass I wanted.
I remember last time when audition speaker, we tested Denon entry AV receiver. The bass is slamming good, but vocal-mid is tiny. Onkyo Integrated Amplifier has nice vocal, but I feel the bass is not so hard, this is with same set of speaker also.

Just saw on Mission website, got new appointed distributor listed in our country. I think same distributor for Onkyo product (I bought Onkyo amp with this company warranty card). Hopefully the pricing would be competitive aka cheap and more variant.
