I canceled my Persona booking and booked a M2 instead after test driving it, performance is just worlds apart, cabin space is small though and NVH not as good as persona, but the engine roar is quite satisfying

My SA said i can get by next week or the week after.

Bank loan approved XD and should be getting the car next week. Glad my booking for persona got delayed

Btw can anyone tell me how fast does the M2 go from 0-100? Couldn't find the info for our Thai CBU version.

Just came back from Mazda Roadshow in 1Utama, you can still get the old price there, price increase will happen on Monday.

Thanks man. I almost got the new Persona, stock was ready for me too, then I canceled it last minute once i tested the M2. Initially only tested the Persona and Honda City and felt the extra 30k didnt really give me a much better car, till the M2 caught my eye.

The Province Growth branch in Old Klang Road can offer RM2.5k discount with free bodykit but stock will take longer. The PJ branch on Federal Highway only offer 1k discount but can get stock faster because its Bermaz

The PJ Federal Highway one gives better test drive due to a better location and road. Old Klang Road not nice to drive

Got the car on Friday and drove to rawang yesterday for friends wedding. So far done 300 kms and no issues. Really love the ride, it's very easy to go up to 100kmh, or should I say it's very hard to not reach 100 :-P .very smooth ride and handles well. Only thing that is bad is road and tyre noise on rough tarmac.

I think you feel the handling is better because M2 is alot lighter, so its more nimble and fast around corners

Here's a picture of my car after coating . Really loving this car, rides so nicely and looks sexy both exterior and interior. Few things that i thought they could have improved without adding cost. The rear seats especially, since it cant really fit 3 people anyway, might as well make it a 2-seater behind with better seat design and an armrest with storage compartment. Road noise is also pretty bad.

Well I was first comparing the Persona and City, sure the City is 30k more, but its still a valid comparison cause they're the same segment. Then from there I compared and see whether the City is really worth the extra 30k or not, and thought it wasnt, as I felt the City was only marginally better than the Persona, plus the Persona actually has better ride and handling.

Then I tested the M2 and it was a whole different beast, it actually does worse than Persona and City when it comes to practicality and ride comfort, but man the M2 has such character that made me go, ya this is worth the extra 30k

First year insurance is about 2.8-2.9k depending on which options you take, and it will be Berjaya Sompro Insurance. After 1 year you get 25% NCD if you never claim insurance, and based on the value of the car after 1 year+NCD, you're looking to about 2k for the insurance after 1 year.

I have a preexisting NCD from my Kelisa of 55% that i brought over to my new M2, so even first insurance i'm only paying 1.4k

The only tires i know with that size are the stock ones fitted when you buy it, which is Dunlop Enasave EC300

You can buy new ones at Mazda SC, at RM320 each.......

You don't have to go to SC to change battery. Just go Avenue Car Audio, they sell Q85 battery for 500+, and the battery is better than the one SC gives

They sell AtlasBX Q85. Look for Liue Jack. Avenue Car Audio has alot of Mazda 2 accessories as well

Do a few simple mods and you can get even better fuel consumption
