Guys may I know other than Mazda service centre , where else can I find Mazda 2 tyre ?
And it's estimated pricing?
185/60 R16 this size quite rare
*
Bro, don't go for the original tires, only Mazda SC has them and they're stupidly expensive around 350-380 ringgit. You can go for 195/55 R16, it fits ok on our rims. Can easily find this size around RM220-250 each.

Considering this car as the price is almost same like Honday City and Toyota Vios. Anyone interested in pitching sales?? or any contact around KL?
*
Now there's a big discount going on, the LED version can be bought for 88k. Reason is, they're coming out with the facelift version soon. When the FL version is released, i expect the LED version to be at least 95 to 97k. Only minor difference though, chrome around the fog lamp, new steering wheel design, side mirror turning lights new design and added G-Vectoring control. If you don't need those just save money and get the current version. Else wait a few months for the FL

in dilemma between mazda2 and jazz.

how much the maintenance compare to jazz?
any feature that this car lacking compare to jazz?

went last week test drive jazz and thought it was ok car plus 7k discount seems good deal..  not sure how much i will get for mazda2
*
The Jazz is a very boring car to drive, very floaty, handling is subpar and performance is average. Doesn't help that it has a CVT gearbox as well. The main good thing about Jazz is the practicality, it has one of the largest boot space for a hatchback b-segment and the rear seats are super spacious, plus you can fold the rear seats up to place tall items or fold down to give bigger boot space. Fitting a washing machine into the Jazz when the seats are folded down is not a problem. Safety wise is about the same, though the top spec Jazz has 6 airbags, the Mazda 2 only has 2,but Jazz doesn't have reverse camera, might be added in the facelifted version which should be out this year.

Sensei sekalian, I hv been using M2 Skyactiv for 1.5 yrs and today went SC service and told by SC battery charging not good as previously. I wish to check anyone change istop battery outside sc and how long been using?
*
Don't go SC change battery, they overcharge for a low quality battery. Check out Tomato Garage or Avenue Car Audio, they provide AtlasBx Q85 battery which are way better and cost around Rm500 after trade-in

Mx5 is R17 or R16
*
They're R17, i put Advan Fleva V701 215/45 tires. Stock Mx-5 is 205/45, but i went for 215 to give it a slight bulge to protect the rim from kerbs and potholes

is there a  new 2017 mazda 2
cant seems to find it in carlist.my
but theres seems to be some youtube review video about this new 2017 mazda 2

It's just a facelift with minor cosmetic changes and added G-vectoring control. Performance is not changed. The facelifted Mazda 2 has not been launched in Malaysia yet. So far we only have the facelifted M3, CX-3 and M6. M2 FL should be coming sometime this year, but it will most definitely have a price increase

not sure.. as long as the one before skyactive..
*
Ya thats Mazda 2 DE, its quite a large difference between this and the new Skyactiv one. Fuel consumption about 20-30% different. Stock performance also less, handling though is not too far apart. But the Mazda 2 DE is older so has way more aftermarket modification options, many turbo kits out there. Interior build quality is miles apart, the Skyactiv interior is more nicely built and premium

Dear Mazda owners,

Does anyone  experience this in your car?

After a few months of usage, the intermediate shaft/steering system/front suspension will have:
(1) abrasive and heavy feel (like sanding) when turning the steering from end-to-end (all the time),
(2) "knocking" feeling and sound when the steering wheel is wiggled left and right continuously (all the time),
(3) "tak" sound when turning back the steering from extreme ends while vehicle is stationary (intermittently),
(4) while turning back after taking left/right corners in in low speed junction and mid speed bend (intermittently),
(5) the steering can feel the harsh impacts of driving over uneven roads, as if the whole steering/suspension system can dislodge itself anytime (all the time).
*
Are you experiencing these on your Mazda 2, or you just surveying?

I am surveying. By the way, just curious what's the point of your question? By the way are any mazda owners experiencing these issues and recitifcation undertaken by bermaz..

A car is the second  biggest investment comes after a home...not sin in surveying rite..bro.. cool2.gif
*
Because I can better write my answer based on whether you're looking to buy an M2 or already own one and facing these problems. If you're an owner then i can tell you the process of rectifying the problems.

Seeing that it seems you might be interested to get an M2, i've had mine for 7 months now, 8k km done, so far haven't faced any of said problems *cross-fingers. I know someone who has an M2 for 9 months now and has already done 100k km, only faced jerking engine on idle (This problem Bermaz will say is normal). Yet there was one guy who faced steering problems just after 2 months. I'd say right now its a 50/50 thing, seems to have gotten less though. But pretty much 70-80% of people who bought theirs in 2015 had the steering or suspension problems.

Then again I have friends living in Australia driving Mazda 2s and said these problems are not common there, might be due to better road conditions.

M2 resale value is lower than the equivalent Toyota or Honda, but not by much, maybe just a few thousand only. Its not the best in RV but definitely alot better than VW or Peugeot

Need to be careful where u stick it, i saw a few ppl their soft touch surface got ripped off by the super strong sticky gel. Not sure if they revised it or not.

Hi, I know tires have been discussed before in this thread but I'm still in a dilemma now as it's almost time for me to change my tires. Also planning to change my rims. So it's still going to be 16 but 7jj instead. I know that 185/55 is going to give me a significant difference in diameter as well as speedo reading. From searching around, 205/55 seems like a better option but apparently cant find this size for sale. If I go 205/50 I know it's going to be too uncomfortable. Even 195/55 which is the best option is unavailable. Any ideas?
*
Best stick to 205/55 so you don't have to adjust speedometer. And its not that hard to find:

*
I use 215/45r17, no problem at all. I know someone who uses 225 infront and 235 on the rear.

Oh ok. 17...hmm. Did he feel a lot of power loss?
*
Hard to say bro, I already do performance upgrades. I don't feel any immediate power loss, but fuel consumption definitely went up, especially in city driving, highway not much difference.

But the thing is this, if you want to drive fast, you must think of safety also, bigger and wider tyres give you way more grip thats for certain.

205/55 can still fit stock rim right?? just to be sure
*
205/55 is the upper most limit the stock rims can go, still not recommended. Most M2 members just go for 195/55 when they need to change tires for stock rims. Stock 185/60 can only be found at Mazda service centres, which go for a ridiculous price. The only thing stock tyres are good for is fuel consumption, they have horrible grip and very loud.

How about comfort wise? From 60 to 45, must be pretty uncomfortable right?

Not a noticeable difference when it comes to comfort. Definitely not noticeable as compared to when i install UR bars.

Actually 195/55R16 is closer to 185/60R16 compared to 195/60R16. You can check using this:
