REVIEW for Ceramic PRO Silver package + interior + engine bay coating

It's been more than 2 weeks, and I think the 9H hardness has fully crystallized, so it's time for me to give some feedback. This is a honest avg consumer review.

Here are some photos of the car:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Glossiness: Slightly more glossy than non-coated car, however my mom sensed no difference. If you plan to do coating just to improve the glossiness, NO.

Comparison between superhydrophobic coated vs non superhydrophobic coated car:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

As you can see the difference between superhydrophobic coated and non coated is big. It really has self-cleaning feature, keeping your car clean. Car wash can be really simple and quick; my dad's been cleaning it without using any car shampoo.

9H hardness: This protection layer is more on long term protection, for now the car looks as good as new, no comment. IT'S NOT SCRATCH RESISTANCE/STONECHIP RESISTANCE.

Window coating: Slightly better than non coated window.

Interior textile: Upon collection of the car 2 weeks ago, I checked on the water repellent of interior textile and it turned out unsatisfactory at first. Instead of forming water beading and just roll off, the textile got wet. They applied another layer of textile coating after that.

Interior leather: Do not feel like "factory feeling" and soft as claimed, and previous textile incidence made me to doubt them if proper amount of solution had been applied. I expected way better than this.

Engine bay: Didn't check so no comment on this.

Maintenance: Here comes the tricky part. I talked to them and they explained to me that they'd be providing me solution (so called Ceramic PRO SPORT) for maintenance, there's no need to visit them every intervals. So I thought the solution is meant for 5 years free maintenance, and it sounded cool. Turned out that one bottle of SPORT has only 300ML, and they will provide only ONE bottle so if it runs out you gotta buy from them. The price hasn't been confirmed by them yet, but estimated price should be below RM200 according to them. My fault for not asking them how long would it last.

OVERALL:
Pros - Superhydrophobic coating keeping the car clean, ez car wash, layer of protection for car paint, no need to do car waxing every few months, Maybank 12 months ez payment (0% interest)

Cons - Bit pricey, felt not much difference on both windows coating and interior coating (windscreen coating could've been better, again felt like inadequate amount of solution was applied), not totally free maintenance, if you get scratches on car coating they wont polish and reapply coating for you.

Personal opinion: I don't know if one or more bottles of solution is meant for a car, but if they try to "save cost" by sharing a bottle to multiple cars you won't know.  whistling.gif

can you rate it 1 to 10?

for the mazda 2 latest version, do i need to press the door lock button on the car key after closing the car door? or it will automatically lock when the key is not within the range?

also, when i sit inside the car, do i have to lock the door manually on the driver's side door knob?

thxx
*
if u want to get inside, u need to press the door button to unlock the car.

if u want to get out, just walkaway and the car will lock it self.

when inside the car u need to lock the car manually.

O.o It doesnt have auto lock while we inside the car?
*
we already discuss this on prev page or prev thread. the removal of auto lock because of regulation for safety purpose when accident happen.
yet you can install it at mazda accessory center for auto lock device or auto fold side mirror.

2 layers coating wont help you to prevent scratches. very2 minor like spider web effect can la. Those who claim coating can prevent scratch because they promote you 10 layers coat which is around 7-8k cost.

bird sh!t and tree sap the worst enemy of car paint. if kena on ur car, it better to have coat protection than directly on ur car paint. who will let those 2 bad thing on our car body for so long? if wash away fast enough it will not be a problem.

1) Coating

Bird Sh!t
---------------------
Coating protection
---------------------
Clear Coat
---------------------
Paint Layer

2) Non coating

Bird Sh!t
---------------------
Clear Coat
---------------------
Paint Layer

your choice.

Got mine yesterday hehe. Add me to the club too. Proud owner of Alu HB  rclxm9.gif  thumbup.gif

Personal feel when driving (likely to be biased because changing from old Iswara to this baby)
The first few secs when starting to kick up the speed feels maybe sluggish, but after that its a smooth drive. Haven't try the sport and paddle shifters yet but its likely i don't have a need for it as the default D is more than enough for me. I started as a manual, and am a manual transmission lover, but i have no problem with the auto transmission offered. The learning curve is almost nothing anyway, just need to get used to your left leg sitting ducks all the time.
even i always drive my wife auto myvi for past 3 years ago, i always put my hand on the gear stick or i-drive knob. when i really want to go fast or start pickup on cornering, i always want to change the gear.. but then duh auto. even play with manual on the gear stick feel not right. haha. it very exciting to floor the clutch and changing the gear. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(margafred @ Jun 27 2015, 05:37 AM)
Almost no complain regarding the features and whats not. The car is absolutely brilliant. Almost got the hang of its i-Stop feature, and going to learn alot more later from the manual book. Brake is super responsive, which might be dangerous for me that got used to full-force braking in my old Iswara most of the time, even in jam haha. But that one i can cope with.
we got solid disc break on rear wheels too. unlike others in the same class use drum break.

QUOTE(margafred @ Jun 27 2015, 05:37 AM)
Even with the reverse camera, i still got used to turn my head towards behind to look for incoming car (well its a habit already, and it won't change because its simply efficient no matter how old fashion it is). Seat feels so nice, tho i am going to readjust on the upper part, else my head won't get that relaxed feeling when driving.

Design overall..  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

Conclusion - No regret at all buying this car.  wub.gif

good. do not relying on the reverse camera 100%. just use it for parking. me too keep that habit for extra safety measurement.

Auto lock, is that the door will auto lock once car start moving?
*
Got a few type of central lock. by braking, moving or changing gear. our current central lock is manual.
need to manually lock and unlock at the door panel.

For braking central lock you can do it at GS Accessory for RM400+. They lock if braking and auto unlock if engine off.
They also give you 1 unlock button for rear passenger to get out and will auto lock after the door was closed.
Since GS Accessory is Mazda accessory panel, they wont void your warranty.

For changing gear central lock, got some member query and got Rm100+ for it. Will lock the door if gear move from P
and will unlock if gear move to P. but it does not unlock if the engine off.
