PS3 not good?

Toward comfort and some claimed it wear out 'faster' - very subjective to driving style and usage. There is also PS3 ST and latest PS4. Premium shoes come with premium price. Bata vs Hush Puppy

PS3 good but mahal

'Technically' all tires about the same when come to less thread...still alot ppl comparing its quieter, noiser...that is because of the thread design....one should concern is the gripping....

autosaver  pj quoted me below price. is it reasonable?

original front brake pad  rm320
lower arm oem  1 pair rm700
absorber front and back oem rm800
bush rm150
steering flexible coupling for 2.0 mdps steering rm380

all include labour
*
Original brake pad can get Rm2xx
Arm, and bush get original, price not far off
Absorber front back about that price
Coupling cost is less Rm10

u the math

QUOTE(sev66 @ Nov 1 2016, 11:28 AM)
Hi all

My forte 2011 1.6sx (142k mileage) already got "kuk kak kuk kak" sound while driving and steering got almost same sound or "tak tak tak" when pusing even when the car is not moving. From what i read in here its normal and to change quite alot of parts. Went to 1 of the specialist in the list from the 1st page and they tell me need to fork out more thn 3k to fix. But then i just change rear n front absorber at my fav workshop hoping that the sound will dissappear. Unfortunately those sound still there. Any1 can suggest should i just buy parts myself and ask my workshop to replace or go to specialist again let them fix. any1 noe the price for these parts?

1. Lower arm 2x
2. Absorber link 2x
3. Stabilizer bush 2x
4. Tie rod end 2x
5. Rack end 2x
6. Ball joint 2x
7. Absorber mounting 2x

Those list given by the specialist workshop in order for me to get rid all those sounds.

Thank guys.
*
Your favourite workshop can't fix the sound after changed absorber ? Yours list is related so suspension system but I don't think changing all is reasonable. To me this is cut throws or blind fixing.

you not giving them business hence showing other workshop quotation, how many will seriously look into it and give advice ? They sure think let you cut throat by others then if still cant solve u will come back to me...

QUOTE(dvinez @ Nov 2 2016, 08:55 AM)

gave them 2 chance on different occasion, i personally find them very business minded
i dealt with their femes manager not their normal staff

if go for normal service okay la, senyum senyum easy task both happy ending
if u request for diagnose, test drive/ketuk one time then confirm all rosak ask u tukar all related parts
if unlucky just shooo u away  bangwall.gif
*
that is biasa simply coz already famous and so call specialize ma...got supporter customer ma go there (all those diverted from SC - claim them lousy and expensive)

if go there no business as check here there, quotation and cabut whose also dun layan you...

thats why i say they business minded not dare say they penipu sial
they advice to replace all, all problem will disappear and we wont bother them, win-win  biggrin.gif

previously i check+replace parts for 3-4x then still cant solve, so want to try them
i told them direct as i expected them to be encouraged to prove they are better, simply layan and shooo-ed

while their arch rival done good job spending time solving the problem slowly in another few visit
*
nowadays ppl lazy troubleshoot, waste time and can't earn much. Best is ask you change all or tukar sampai ok..alot of wasted parts... doh.gif

so which is ur favourite next workshop now ?

Quick update on the front suspension noise. The Seri Kembangan SC tells me that it's the lower arm bush that's degrading, thus causing the noise. Currently it's still ok but sooner or later will require a change, meaning that the entire lower arm needs to be changed, not the bush, and that would be about another RM1k.

Hmph...time to actively look around.
*
U can just change the bush

For those who are the Forte 1.6 SX owners, a question to your guys.

I am the 1.6 SX owner and I know that 1.6 SX is using hydraulic power steering. I feel my steering is quite heavy when I first day take the car in 2013, agent told me that 17 inch tyre is like that.

Recently, I drive my friend's first generation myvi and the steering is super light, the first gen myvi is using hydraulic power steering too.. I can use one hand to turn the steering for myvi but I need to use both hand to turn steering for Forte 1.6 SX...

May I know whether is my steering hydraulic system having problem or is normal???

Thank you in advance...

If no leak, and no abnormal sound = its normal.
