Guys, hows the comment on the forte 2.0?
Im kinda interested in its 2 door siblings... but there doesn't seem to be a club here in lyn..

thanks bro, at last i go for 215/45 Primacy 3st rm394 per piece including alignment and valve. The tyre shop also recommend to stay 215 as 225 a bit to wide for stock rim.

Anyone want my conti mc5? i got 2 pieces about 80-90% thread left. RM150 per piece. I can deliver for free within kl/selangor area, Near from north south plus highway also can.

I also no more warranty and plan to send to outside workshop for service nx time.
You refer to the first page for those 3rd party workshops (KCM, Autosaver, HK, etc.) which had been used and verified by many Forte Owners here. Sure some with good and poor reviews depends on the luck.

Hi guys, just got myself a 2nd hand forte 1.6sx 6speed.

I have gone thru a few threads but stil have a few questions...cannot finish reading all threads lol. Hope owners could shed some light on it.

1. Aircond hose in engine bay with water droplets. Is this normal?


2. Gear lever lock button can be press and shift when in Park and brake pedal is not depress. Is this normal?

3. Is it ok to shift with pedal shifter when foot is depressing the accelerator?

4. Gear lever cannot engage minus(shift down) in manual mode but shift up is fine. Can this be rectify? Thx all

anybody did stiff ring and UR Bars on their forte?

Which UR bar is recommended for Forte?

Also, just sent my car for servcie. SC says that my lower arm bush is cracked and need to be replaced. Any idea how much does it cost?

Hi all. I've a 2010 2.0 Forte, mileage 75k km.  Latest checked engine light, error code P2096. Headache. I was quoted rm1k++ on the cat.

May I know, does K&N filter caused the code? Cos I just changed 2 weeks ago.

Please do help to advice and share. Tqvm.

it probably 2.0 common coupling issue
better get it changed since almost every 2.0 have the same issue
if problem solve then u will be happy with it ,cost about rm3xx-4xx

my stock touch screen head unit cant read sd or usb with more than 40 mp3 ,if i try to do it will straight hang and i have to restart the HU
the strange thing is if the usb/sd only have few or less than 40 mp3 it seen to work fine

bouncy... can still see the car bouncing after let go my hand... I was pushing the rear, car boot area.

Recommended place to change? Around Kepong/selayang.

Anyone added speakers to the back of Forte? Right now have 6 speakers - 2 tweeters and 4 door speakers. Wanna add to back behind seats

Which variant recommended ya? 1.6 or 2.0? Which manufactured year better?

Any headache or major problem of this car? Or any problem I need to alert about? Spare parts availability and price. Car service costs etc...

guys, want to check with you all on your opinion toward the shock absorber for forte. Which one you guys will choose, genuine KIA one or mando ? AutoSaver quoted 799 for a set of OEM kia which i believe is MANDO, SC quoted 1200++, exclude those stabilizer link and alignment... they mentioned, outside workshop wont help to check those stablizer link and other components of the suspension system..

i asked SC to help check on the suspension system, they said they can check, if disassemble and found absorber defect then they will demand us to replace.

May I know what's the difference of 4 Speed and 6 speed?

Hi to all Forte owner , I have a few technical problem which would like to ask all sifu here for suggestion, one mth ago I have bough a sec hand Kia Forte at jb which cause me 47k otr 2011 1.6 sx 46k milage on it...it's quite new n nice but after brought back home, and start to drive few days , i notice the car start to jerk while driving low speed or stopping at traffic with drive gear on....the car will jerk every few second....and I complain back to the car shop and they ask e to brought it back in n check for me, and they found out its theignition coil damage all 4 which need cost thousand ringgit to fix and they not willing to pay 100% at the end we deal at 50/50 but after fix....the prob come back again next few days of taking the car.... Did any of you encounter this prob ? Is it really the ignition coil to cause the jerk ? Ignition coil really cost 1k for 4 set ??

Hi all, i am new here, i have a few questions to ask. My dad bought a forte 1.6SX during 2010, now the car mileage is already 285K, and a lots of problem now due to lack of care. For now, what do i observe is that the 4pcs absorber need to be change, and the front wheel there got klak klak sound which i don't know what is the cause. secondly, the aircond is totally not cold during daytime. Thirdly, the front headlamp bracket was broken because of some minor accident. Iwant to ask all the owner here, any workshop/spare part shop to recommend in PJ/KL/JB area? i plan to change back the original absorber and absorber mounting, any component need to be change in the suspension part? for the aircond, any shop recommend for me to check? many thanks in advance.
