has any owner change the fan/fan motor at 150,000km? is this 1 of the item listed?

what happened was i brought my car (2010, 1.6SX) to a mechanic at 149,xxxKM. according to him, need to change the fan/fan motor at 150,000km. I didn't pay attention due to not enough money

today, when driving my car on Pg bridge, half way the fan stopped completely. air con no cool air coming in, but luckily temperature is below 50%.

any owner experience this issue? can share some insight? many thanks

good to know that. open the bonnet & let the engine run without air con - fan is stagnant. turn on air con - fan still stagnant. the air con will automatically increase the fan speed to highest level (as though Auto is turned on, but in fact it was not). only normal air come through, no cool air.

send to check already. engine is building lots of sludge and loose timing chain. just bought car 2 weeks from 2nd hand dealer. going through overhaul now. 

never thought of engine issue will be such severe. experience gained! gotta check everything clearly from inside to outside.

warranty 1 week only. 2010 year. serious sludge. dont know how long didnt they service or what. now checking by mechanic. take out every part to clean and change damaged parts. cost a bomb for this

feel like wanna get 1... is thr any major issue? how the maintenance cost? spare part share with 4door version? performance?

Hi wanna ask does 1.6 and 2.0 power really diffrent? How's the power of 1.6.
Plan to get a forte by still considering which variant to buy.
Any Advise?

get the 2.0 if u have budget
1.6 not under power but 2.0 will be better

not a serious matter la ,just cost 2xx-3xx to get it fixed

I believe the Forte utilizes the Torsion Beam system at the rear.
So I guess only those bushes will need replacement (besides other obvious wear & tear parts of the suspension system).

Dear all,

Wanna ask how you guys play USB songs on your stock Forte LCD player? I tried plug in the USB, then "music" > "USB". It shows "loading USB audio" but unfortunately it takes forever to load and the player hang. I need to turn off and turn on again. Same happened to SD card.

Also when I plug in my IPhone through USB cable the player says "decide not recognised, please enter a name for the device" but there is no keyboard for me to type in.

Anyone with thoughts on the 2 problems can help?
