Noticed any significant boost after installing open pod filters?
Considering the K&N Open Filter too!

Edit:-
Do you also need to remap ECU if you're gonna go Open Pod & Exhaust mod?
*
'BOOST' ? definitely NO for drop in or open pod. Only different is open pod give u less restriction and allow more intake = throttle get dirty faster = you will tend to throttle more since feel the car is 'lighter' = will FC improve = depend driving style...

Modern ECU is smart with self calibration = overwritting is wont be easy = any factory sensor/signal mod will trigger engine check light = indicating your have gone beyond factory optimum settings.

Money money money and money to resolve one by one.... bruce.gif

Of coz save if seldom use...
Coz semi normally chg at 5k km, fully 10k km

If seldom use n use fully until 10k km, the engine oil will sludge
So better use semi at least chg every 5k km
Unless u got 'extra' money n chg fully every 5k km

yes, rempit is best choice.. can save a lot on petrol, toll, parking etc..
so car is used only on weekend / holiday / balik kampung.

Sifu semua, I know this question has been asked many many times...but I just couldn't help but ask again.

Is the Forte battery size really 55D23L?
I mean in terms of dimension (Lenght x Width x Height); is it really a perfect fit on the Battery Base-Plate/Holder? Also, will I be able to use the stock battery cowl/jacket/sa rung with the 55D23L batt?

I physically checked the stock battery (DELKOR CMF-45L-BCI) and then tried to search for the exact same model & brand, but it seems that there are no Sellers carrying the DELKOR brand(?)

I even tried calling a few LYN advertisers whom wrote that they are selling Korean batts, but they claim that they are only selling the common brands now (i.e. Century, Panasonic, INCOE, Yuasa, GP).

So, my question is two prong:

1) Does anybody here know of any Seller carrying DELKOR and the same sized batt as our Stock Battery?

2) If the answer to the above question is "No"; then can a few ppl help to confirm if the 55D23L batt is the next best fit (where I can still use the lock plate + jacket/cowl)?

Thank you all in advance.

EDITED - Upon further research, I've come to a fairly certain conclusion that the KIA FORTE battery size is a 121R Group size (L: 208 x W: 173 x H: 222 mm). I believe this differs from the 55D23L dimensions?
If anyone knows that the above is incorrect, pls do correct me.
*
DELKOR CMF-45L-BCI IS only brought in my Naza Kia to go along with Forte. You WILL NOT find ANYWAY in malaysia not even their distributor. This is 100% confirm.

Since you knew 55D23L dimension, compare against the DELKOR CMF-45L-BCI dimension = thats the answer

Guy, would like to check. What the current price for kia forte's battery??
*
vary between Rm280-400 depend on size and brand. Stock come with Din45 - special size and almost impossible to find same size replacement in malaysia market. As such 55D23L is recommend. Din55L terminator will be sink - not really suit

Anybody using dunlop do5 tyres? How is it compared to conti mc5 In terms of road noise?
Currently running on Silverstone.

Price will tell. Believed MC5 better (oh well MC5) also have its noise problem...in its own way...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Bro, a question. our stock battery is 55D23R right? Is that special made for Forte used only as you mentioned this is special size and not possible to find the same size in Malaysia market?
*
23L not R - If R mean the +ve terminal at RIGHT handside.

Some Forte get Din45, some get 55D23L
