The camera (RM298) is from IDSmartphone(Near by Asus service centre), comes with 1 year warranty from the shop. They have waterproof case also, around RM100 if I am not mistaken |

After much attempt, lastly manage to remove the hot glue. I realize the best tool for it is the smallest sized flathead screwdriver.
Though, I found out that my unit's focus is actually not too far off, LOL. Also, can someone with experience suggest me what should be the focal distance if I want to use it as dashcam? Thanks. P/s: I realise the overheat problem had caused my stock battery to be inflated a little already (it's less than 1 month old and not even in operation over 2 hours, indoor).... Not sure if it is safe to put it as dashcam and exposed to intense heat from sun for long terms. This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 28 2015, 10:20 PM |

FYI, if u use it for dashboard, u can take out the battery and just use the power from USB cable. it will work, so u dont need the battery in the cam when u record. hope this helps. |

QUOTE(deadravel @ Jun 28 2015, 10:47 PM) hey bro, Really? Hadn't tried it that way yet cause most modern gadgets like phones require battery to complete the circuit and working, definitely a nice surprise to me if its true. FYI, if u use it for dashboard, u can take out the battery and just use the power from USB cable. it will work, so u dont need the battery in the cam when u record. hope this helps. Any idea on focal distance suggestion if I am to tune them indoor? This post has been edited by Human10: Jun 29 2015, 12:05 AM |
