If you guys noticed, the "iPhone 6 - Bigger than Bigger" billboards located along major freeways have been changed to show the beautiful images taken by the said phone (and also available on Apple's website)? Well, an idea then sprouted in my head, haha!
 I noticed that while there's a dedicated thread on the iPhone 6 here in LYN, there is none for the images that we can shoot on our trusty phones. So why not come up with such a sub-forum, since many of us use our iPhones to take amazingly crisp shots anyway!  So let me get the ball rolling and post this photo I took of Shanghai's famous trio of super-tall towers over in Pudong, when I was there last week! My photos are all taken using the stock "Camera" app, by the way, even if I have Camera+ installed in the iPhone 6.
And this is one I took of the morning sun today, from the window of the master bedroom in my condo!

This is because all of your subjects and background has similar distance, iphone 6 has 1.2 aperture but due to small sensor, you can't get blur effect as dslr, the only way to do that is place ur subject near to your lens, and keep the background as further as it can. I'll keep this in mind. |

Got a question here, let's say if I want to focus a bigger part of it, or maybe almost the entire range, how do I do that? Because if I click or hold on the part I want to focus, it just focus on that small part.

iphone 6 still hv same weakness as any other iphone model weakness before...
shooting at night with low or no lights in background... in Samsung, the light lights up, the camera focuses and shoots....resulting nicer pics... in iphone6, the lights lights up 0.5 secs, camera cincai takes pic before it can really focuses...then shoots....picture ends up blurry or flash light reflection spoils the pic.... solution: hv two handphones...one lights up. another set to flash off. then shoot....result? a lot nicer pics...almost to Samsung picture level... Yeah, so unlike SLR cameras, phone cameras often can't give you the DOF nor creamy bokeh despite going with the minimal focusing distance.

Now this is what I call a really amazing smartphone camera (better than any digital camera I used previously) - look at how crisp and clear the image of my four Star Wars spaceships are, when taken with the iPhone 6!

anyone know which apps that can enable wideangle for the iphone camera? stock camera app is good but hate it when need to take group photos its not wide enough compared to the note 5, also, external lens option is there, but don't wanna add the bulk to my phone.

I notice that the stitching is no longer good as before. My previous 4S can do much more better. Is it the iphone or IOS9? |
