Well, for your budget Quadro and Firepro would be out of budget. So, the best is getting better GTX cards with the extra cuda core but less precision and software optimization. The i7 HQ/MQ would be sufficient. As for MSI GE70, i would not recommend it as the cooling system is not really good. While the 960M is faster than 860m it is essentially the same card with the 960m clock speed higher (Faster GHz).

erm, why    any reasons? but compare to ROG (service after sales is sucks) and overprice MSI, still Illegear is ok. unless you want to get alienware, but AW is kinda, bad specs. not high enough compare ROG, MSI and Illegear. Lenovo is cheaper, quite worth to spend too

Yup it is true. 960 rebadge of 860 with higher clock speed (960 faster Ghz than 860) thats all if i remember correctly.

Yes it is pretty but medium specs. With the budget you can get better but if you like it that much and have the $$ to get it. Then by all means go get it. It can game pretty well with the 860m but of course don't expect ultra settings etc.

Yup, for normal 1080p gaming 4Gb is a bit much but for 2Gb you might need to tone down some settings for some games. As for the extra $$ , yes it is better in adding RAM (should you need it) or get an SSD.

Most of the time the performance of the GPU is the bottleneck before even fully utilizing the max vRAM.

As 860m has already been out for a while. A maxwell 4Gb vRAM isnt that impossible. As shown by the link even the Kepler has 2Gb variant. To be sure call them up to ask or go to a store to check by asking to install some third party system check and check the GPU model name.

EDIT : G551 4Gb variant is using the maxwell. Provided it is the same model as sold in Malaysia.

If i were you. I would choose the MSI GE62 because of better cooling system. The Asus CPU temp will go up to 90 celcius+. Will be linking you to the review.

Hmm, true that.  , if not mistaken the MSI GE62 has better GPU (965m).

Oh, i see. GE62 got 960m? Did you check properly not the GE60 (Old model and heating issues).

  , can seem to find your model selling in Malaysia. Other than that with GE62, you can't go wrong with it.  , though don't know much about the after sale service.

Lol, 950m and 960m same only with 950 clock slower and has the option of DDR3.

So in essence its the same card with slower clock speed and DDR3 options << Which means 960m > 950m albeit not that much with both using DDR5.

G501JW SSD is what capacity ? If it is 256gb then it seems like a good deal. Avoid G751 and GE70, not worth the price.
GE62 is also very well priced, subjected to it is gtx970m variant. If not you opt to get better with that price.

i think it has 2 version.. 1 is gtx960m and gtx965m... dffrnt price as well.. but still depends.. either MSI malaysia will import the gtx965m or not.. else.. the only available unit with gtx965m, mostly can found in singapore.    965m is kinda limited series..  different performance than normal gtx960m
