14" you have dell 7447 since its offer best service after sales.
specs is pure quad core i7 + gtx850m ddr3 + win8.1/Dos at least rm2999

if you go for 15"
the new acer v nitro with gtx960m is good choice. not that heavy.. but pretty decent for gaming

1. Preferred Brand : Apple, HP, or Dell
2. Budget - RM7000 +- (lower the better la of course.. lol)
3. Usage - heavy assignment like video editing, 3d rendering, digital imaging
4. Preferred size would be.. 14 to 15inch.

I have did some research on the mentioned laptops, like Zbook, Precision, and MacBook Pro. The spec sheets are somewhat.. i would say, similar. Although the GPU chipset that Windows-based machine offered are good, but internet has many people doing video editing using MacBook Pro too. (And my company is using iMac for 3D rendering)

But there are pros and cons for each of the machines, and I'm not sure which to pick.
I'm actually going to further study, and I need a laptop that is easy to bring, and capable enough for all the mentioned usage above. So that during travelling I don't waste any time to do my assignment and work.
Other than hardware warranty (if it's covered globally, lagi best la), the software is another issue in terms of the overall cost.
As far as I know, Mac OS has lower accessibility on getting the software in a ... "easier" way. Therefore most of my friends who uses MacBook, they actually bought the software themselves, and none of them comes with a cheap price! (Even after discount for students)

I would really appreciate it if anyone here who has experience using these machines, to share your experience and ideas of it, so that I can get a better idea on picking the best machine.

Many thanks!!!!!!

hi guys need help here for a gaming laptop around price range of 4.5k below

1. Preferred Brand : Any, as long as built quality is good + ventilation
2. Budget : 3.5k to 4.5k
3. Usage : Gaming, Photo editing ( Lightroom ,Photoshop )
4. Preferred laptop/screen size 15 Inch

*Would like an extra SSD if possible and a GTX Card

btw as for illegear and cyberforce..
I've selected the custom spec for the illegear z5 and cyberforge s-15
the price diff are as follows : rm4508 vs rm 4592

Illegear z5
+Graphic card of GTX 960 4GB DDR 5
+IC Diamond Thermal compound
-Wifi Intel 7260 dualband

Cyberforge
-Graphic card of GTX 960 2GB DDR 5
+GC Extreme thermal compound
+128GB Samsung M2 SSD
+Killer WIFI

btw whats the diff between intel 7260 dualband and realtek 8723BE? thats the option for the wifi network card of the z5

Others are almost the same, which should i go for?
considering the built quality, does cyberforge up to par with z5's like everyone mentioned?
Thanks in advance smile.gif

Both clevo OEM.. I would go for illegear coz its onsite service in Klang valley...

For Photoshop I suggest u take higher resolution display.. like qhd or uhd

Dell Inspiron 7548 uhd touch i7 around RM3500.. but Radeon card... xps 15 qhd+ around RM4700..

Emm... for dell u hv 3 choices lo.. m2800/3800/4800.. among those 3 ,m3800 lightest but the GPU oso relatively mediocre... m2800 is entry wif AMD firepro... not everybody favourite..
M4800 heaviest among tat 3.. but the k2100m is strongest among them

Hp zbook hv model tat using k2100m but I dint use b4.. no comment

You would not like to carry the m4800 around, believe me, damn heavy like brick
