Just changed all 4 tyres to J5 195/60 R15. Old set was Yokohama C.drive2.

Though same size as the old C.drive2, I noticed its width is smaller. Optical illusion maybe.

I feel my car a little bit bumpy. Not sure if it was due to incorrect air pressure. No time to check yet.

Less road noise when on the move. Quiet indeed but time will tell after the wear and tear. The grip is as good as C.drive2. Feel stable when cornering.

A good buy and value for money.

Just to give you a little update. I discovered one of the rear tyre wasn't properly inflated with the correct pressure. My car doesn't feel as bumpy as before now. biggrin.gif rclxms.gif

After about a week of using, it exceeded my expectation on tyre of this price range. thumbup.gif

RM180 inclusive of GST at Citicars Garden. Free balancing and alignment.

I think you can get it cheaper elsewhere if you search it on Mudah.my.

The advertised price on Mudah.my may be before GST added in and there is an additional 3% charge if using credit card. Citicars doesn't impose additional charge for credit card.

Is J5 a replacement for J3 ?
If that is the case, then wouldn't the quality be somewhat similar?

Not too sure about that. But as I know, the J5 has newer tread patterns and it's now made by Continental. Not sure about the J3 though as it's quite an old product already?

Both the J5 and J3 is a different model, targeting for different market segment anyway.
And yes, the J3 have been around for more than 1 year (maybe 2 years plus even).

Rule of thumb- if you got J3 and the J5 in the same size, go for J5 instead. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, the manufacturing date is inside the tyre, thus make it hard for us as end user to find the info.
So is the indicator for the rain/dry grip. As it is on the thread on the inner side.

Not sure why they did that though.

Hi, how much you inflate? My car stated inflate 230kpa for front and 210kpa for rear base on oem size 185/65R15. Now front change to J5 195/60R15 and not sure whether to follow the same pressure.

put same pressure first as base line, because pressure is different from volume.
