I got very the SIMILAR advices given to airtawarian. but from another workshop ofcourse, and mine is more expensive about RM2k for the whole system ac to be changed. Reason also the same, MyVi is having common problem with compressor and aircond, also shown me another Myvi that are currently undergoing whole unit change. I myself experienced this time is the 2nd time of compressor jammed after changing it 2 years ago, so his advice quite make sense maa...



Currently, my Myvi is having the Habuk Besi weird sound. So kind of worrying...because last two months I went to the workshop, that above advices I got...

my aircond has been spoil for few weeks all kl one quote min 1.5k
b4 got one workshop say only pump spoil rm400 but i no change,

i ram a constr5uction pipe on my car bottom , my car gearbox oil leaked,

the bottom cover bocor ,

and coincident my aircond no cold

i hv change cooling coil rm660 include labour b4 ,

now i dont even h money to service ,

i went interview penang island withotu aircond , just open windows abit ,

panas n sweaty , bet no girls wanna sit inside lol, it was so hot my windows mount my iphone4s , even my gps become gila and my phone show temperature warning and switch off..........

i jobless and when i work as promoter also cant afford service it

Hi All,
The proposed from mechanic was right. I had experienced with my MYVI previously. Technically, when the compressor was jammed, it is due to condition inside the compressor itself. Most component inside worn out and the friction inside generated a lot of powder (Metal powder).

It goes circulated around to the entire air-cond system and the consequences cause most components jammed and blocked. Components like dry bag, condenser, compressor, valve and everything has to change.

The mechanic already brief me about this before he proceed to repair and I'm also verified all related components as he measure correct. For sure it really need to be change.

The concern now is the price he offer to you. A bit expensive..my cost is about RM1000 only

The reason is because no proper maintenance.
The air-cond need special lubrication oil for the system
especiallly for compressor. Some mechanic suggest
to add oil for every 20,000.

Dunno why lately proton macai all post topic myvi/axia got a lot of defect and expensive repair problem....

Hi everyone, just want to ask. My myvi aircond keep producing sound when open. Already change compressor b4. But sound come back again. My car still under warranty.
Anyone faced the problem like me before?

Mechanic said cooling coil broken causing gas leaking, resulting aircond malfunction.

My car reach 97k, never service before since purchase 6 years ago.

The price reasonable?

Yes for that part of myvi, yes. Labour 200 is normal due to whole dashboard need to take out baru reach aircond part.

All aircond when rosak when change part, it is combo set, like listed.

But I really wanna know what he meant on compressor jam.

1 time I kena is when u put too cold the water freeze to the hose where the hose dam fucuking small which is 3 hour rides it will clog the aircond with no wind out, go to pandan mewah, got a cheebye said aircond rosak, then I f him no free then balik wanna go to my biasa aircond fella on next day. Turn out sudah ok due to the ice is melted and not clog aircond.

Conclusion: myvi for town use saje.

yes better go directly to Denso if your car has aircond issue. recently only i kena from 1 workshop in Tmn Len Seng, Cheras and wasted rm1400+ for their so call expert service.
First went there cause my aircond is blowing hot air. they plug in the meter & told me that the gas was low. After topping up the gas they said the compressor is not working so good & recommend to change the
compressor together with the condenser as well. after the gas refilled the aircond is back to working condition and guess what happened after 2 weeks? strong gas smell inside the car cabin & aircond was blowing warm air. Brought my car back to the same workshop & they said the cooling coil was leaking & need changing. they also asked to change the compressor magnetic coil since they said the compressor is not working good.
ok, fine trusted them. guess what happened again after 1 month? the compressor finally worn out. brought car back to consult them why so fast the compressor spoilt after changing the magnetic coil and now they said it has nothing to do with the coil & said its the compressor inside component spoilt. i said you guys should told me earlier to change the whole unit compressor but instead assured me that changing the magnetic coil was enough.they don't want to take any responsibility and claimed what they did is correct.
so guys, long story but a lesson learnt with my hard earned money. watever it is, make sure you go back to your sc or direct to Denso for aircond issue. oh yes, 1 more need to add to this story of mine. before sent to that workshop the aircond blower ( inside cabin) was working good. after took my car from the workshop the sound from the aircond blower was like a fighter jet ready to take off. guess what they workshop said? boss, we did nothing, we only took it out blew the dust using the compressed air. same thing, they won't admit its their wrong.
fyi, the location of the shop is same row with sportstoto. next to them is a car spray paint shop & exhaust shop. please pm if you need to know the exact shop name but its not too difficult to identify since only 1 row of old shop at Tmn Len Seng Cheras.
