Previously I had my xbox 360 sitting next to my wireless router, so I could just connect my xbox to the router using a network cable. Now I have moved my xbox into my room and it's too far away from the router to use the cable. So I have been looking for an xbox 360 network wireless adapter. It cost anywhere from RM260 to RM 400!!

So I started to look into alternatives. You cannot use normal USB wireless adapter on the xbox 360. Only the MS one will work. Another way is to get a cable bridge setup. You can also try to buy an ethernet rj45 wireless bridge. Not sure how much they cost.

I also have my Toshiba notebook sitting near the xbox and that already has wireless connection to my router. So I tried connected my xbox to my notebook via normal network cable, set my notebook to share internet connection and it works!!!

Of course it wasn't that easy I had to set my notebook IP to 192.168.0.1, remove some clashes on my router and set the settings manually on the xbox... Once that was done, I am connected to xbox LIVE!!!!

i also have recently moved upstairs and i find wired cabling troublesome.. so i tried said method (pening jugak laa..) and it seems to be working too. xbox live is updating at the moment so we'll see if i could finally GOW tonight.

You could also manually bridge the Network connections instead of using ICS to share the network connection.

Could u explain it in detail? My Lcd tv is downstairs but my pc is at upstairs...How to connect?

Right click your Wireless Network Connection. Select "Bridge Connections". Connect your 360 to the Ethernet port.

Ethernet port?? Wat's dat?? Do i have to purchase anything extra?

Anyone tried the Aztech Homeplug? Ethernet connection over iternal power lines. I got a pair here but I have yet to try them out. It may help if the wireless distance is too far, and you've got power points handy.

Ethernet port = your wired LAN port.
