Previously I had my xbox 360 sitting next to my wireless router, so I could just connect my xbox to the router using a network cable. Now I have moved my xbox into my room and it's too far away from the router to use the cable. So I have been looking for an xbox 360 network wireless adapter. It cost anywhere from RM260 to RM 400!! So I started to look into alternatives. You cannot use normal USB wireless adapter on the xbox 360. Only the MS one will work. Another way is to get a cable bridge setup. You can also try to buy an ethernet rj45 wireless bridge. Not sure how much they cost. I also have my Toshiba notebook sitting near the xbox and that already has wireless connection to my router. So I tried connected my xbox to my notebook via normal network cable, set my notebook to share internet connection and it works!!! Of course it wasn't that easy I had to set my notebook IP to 192.168.0.1, remove some clashes on my router and set the settings manually on the xbox... Once that was done, I am connected to xbox LIVE!!!!
