Iris, lavender and cacao with a touch of vetiver and leather. I can't seem to get enough of it. It's still a stable in my collection after so many years. One of the best iris based scents in my book. A modern classic for well-dressed men.

We have similar taste bro. I'm wearing its younger brother, PAPHI today even though the Sun is out today. One of absolute fav designers.

Wearing Calling All Angels on this cool cloudy day today. Performance is quite good for an all-natural perfume just like what you would expect from a modern day EdT. It was a winner in the Artisan category at the 2013 Art and Olfaction Awards. The notes are
Incense, labdanum, vanilla, honey, amber, precious woods, opoponax, elemi resin, tonka bean, benzoin, and frankincense. It reminds me of Amber Absolute by Tom Ford.

SOTD: Van Cleef & Arpels pour Homme by Van Cleef & Arpels (1978)


A seductive fragrance starting with an elegant freshness made of sage and citrus. Its spice and leather notes underscore its unquestionably masculine feel.
The fragrance then opens up to produce a magnetic, intense, vibrant effect resulting from a combination of Sandalwood, Vetiver and Patchouli.

Yeah, that's the product description but how does it smell on you? The face in the ad is Gainsbourg, who was the lover of Jane Birkin. I almost wanted to put on L`Air de Rien (perfume made for her by Lyn Harris) this morning but went with Dior Homme instead.

VCA pour Homme is luxury powerhouse and my top 10 powerhouse fragrance...Opening with blasting of bergamot and very heady indeep of animalic, leathery notes and drydown rich dense of mossy, patchouli & meloncholy soapy clean roses.

This is real super masculine power bomb.

Sillage: 9/10
Longevity:9/10
Scent: 10/10

Brutal and radical of powerhouse...it smell like mix of Givency Gentleman + YSL Kouros + Trussardi Uomo (1983)

Thanks for sharing. Animalic smells like my cup of tea. I was into masculine 80's powerhouses too but didn't get too far before I moved on into niche, feminine classics/vintages and now, animalic.

My SOTD is all-natural Cologne du Maghreb by Tauer Perfumes. Don't wanna wear anything chemical today.
