I got heavy cumin note from Fate opening too. Need to survive first 2 hours maybe. Very daring to wear . I like the the rose note from opus X but definitely love lyric more. Lyric woman also nice. Some said even more masculine than the lyric man. Btw, nice haul.
*
True that bro. After trying both lyric woman and man on skin I definitely can say that the woman is more musky than the men laugh.gif
Lyric man is softer and smoother during the drydown

Gender bender a bit in Amouage Lyric. Among all amouages, Which 1 is your Fav for now?
*
Interlude man bro. I don't think any amouage can dethrone that masterpiece tongue.gif
Second is memoir man and third would be epic woman. If I owned reflection man and jubilation, the list may change but interlude will still be no.1 hehe

And I believe yours will be lyric man bro?

Nice. only being there once. But, u bought anything during your visit? Or they just really generous and gave u sample?
*
I went there once just to try their fragrance and the sa gave me two free samples without purchasing anything. I got Tuscan leather and neroli portfofino.

Love Tuscan Leather. Too bad the current formulation doesnt stay long on my skin. End up buying cheaper alternative with better performance,  la yuqawam and PDM godolphin. But Tuscan Leather definitely more ashy. To my untrained nose, not much different.
*
Yes. Totally loving Tuscan leather and hence got myself layuqawam for the cheaper price tag. Add atelier cologne's oud saphir to the mix of clones too. That one also reminds me of Tuscan leather.

Heard about the oud Saphir too. How's the performance?
*
Can't say much on that Because I tested on the test strip and somehow lost the strip when I was walking in the gardens tongue.gif

Good question. You make me wonder where is the oud as the name says. To my nose I don’t notice any oud.
*
I don't get any oud either. It's just like TL to me. Since I don't own OL so I can't compare to that.

Can I get a comment/review for YSL Y EDP? I can't seem to find sample or decant online, and the YSL shops are like 40min~1hour drive for me.
Thanks
*
Tested that a while back. A pleasant scent. People pleaser. Certainly won't offend anyone. However it's not unique in the sense like a niche would smell like. But definitely a good fragrance.

Guys. If buying fragrances from Mr.porter, will the shipment be detained by the pharmacy dept? Also will the shipment be imposed tax once it arrives in Malaysia?? How about the shipment cost?

I have a few questions,

Do you guys know where can i get PdM and Amouage here? And usually what is the price range?

Is it a hassle if you order fragrance from website such as fragrancex and perfume dot com?
*
PdM you can get from luxuryperfumemalaysia. I think they have a shop in kenanga wholesale city mall. Check their Instagram to find out the exact location. Prices around 600+

For amouage you can find several places here in KL. At metrojaya mid valley (super discounted 50%) but very limited choices. At klcc isetan. Pavilion have a amouage boutique. Gardens also have amouage inside Robinson if I'm not mistaken. Prices around 1k+

Can't really say on those webs. But other sifus here might shed a light on you.

QUOTE(cocooh @ Mar 7 2019, 10:46 AM)
Tried F**cking Fabulous during my working hours yesterday, here's my thought:

Fabulous opens with a full blast of clary sage and some spicy nuances. I detected some lavender but its kinda subtle.

Once the top notes fade, we are left with a pretty linear scent. It stays creamy and slight leathery from the tonka bean and bitter almond respectively throughout. (Some refer this stage as plastic-y)

Projection and silage is fine. Fabulous holds up to at least 3 hours before dialing down to skin scent (or near proximity projection). Its longevity stretches up to in between 8-10 hours.

One thing for sure, I don't quite understand the negativity that surrounds this fragrance especially fr*grant*ca. Their reviews were kinda off the track after having to experience the scent myself.

However, I don't think its composition justifies the high price tag as there are more worthy pieces around such as Oud Wood Intense or RC.
*
How would you compare OW to OWI? Is it similar just the intense is stronger and last longer??

I would say Oud Wood is more reserved. It's a pleasant scent but i find it to be a tad too quiet?

Oud Wood Intense is very "I am here, you will notice me" kind of vibe. Slight animalic but that wouldn't alter its scent much unless you over spray. One major differences = it smells nothing like Oud Wood.

OW = spam all u can (max 6?).
OWI = thread carefully, 2 spray tops.

With that being said, I finally understand why OW is a bestseller among all PB. OW is actually more reserved and a public-pleaser when compared to other PB which has more of a raw facet to its notes.
*
Thanks for your feedback. I definitely need to try OWI next time. I tried OW once and loving it. But at that time I also tried TL but find it too animalic for my liking. But after giving the sample I received from there a few times, I've grown to love TL. So I definitely need to get my nose on OWI and see if it turns out to be another love at first sniff or multiple sniffs lol

laugh.gif haha, TF fragrance would need some time to get used to. I find TF quite enjoyable for its development throughout and for being bold on using rare notes.

TL to me is quite bitter at first, but it does dial down to a raspberry-ish leather at the end. Probably you can try Ombre Leather instead.
*
Very true indeed. Most PB line is definitely a scent that's out there in your face and take that. I'm not going subtle.

I did try OL (after developing the love for TL) and find it to be more toned down. But the price of OL compared to TL is another story. Hurm hurmmm.

Question:

Do guys wear women's perfume? Is it common nowadays for guys to wear women's perfume? Was it just PR/Advertising when Chanel used Brad Pitt to advertise Chanel No 5 or trying to expand it to guys?

No judgement but just wondering.. Thanks
*
As others have mentioned, just wear what you feel comfortable wearing. A scent is just that, a scent. If you like roses, floral, fruity scent, then wear them with confidence. A guy doesn't have to only like musky woody incense scent. All those gender thing is pure marketing bs to me lol.

I own Amouage Epic Woman & TF Black Orchid. Both are great scent and a guy can definitely pull off wearing them.

Can try to walk around Parkson Pavilion, they have Van Cleef which is quite nice to start off with.

Else, you can also venture into Diptyque, Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Tom Ford  biggrin.gif

Once u go niche, you might never look back
*

I don't know bro. Never had experience buying from them before but I've read in this forum someone had bought from them before and vouched that it's authentic.

If not mistaken, izam7 had experienced with Rirana, maybe he can share with us.

I think they are the only local Niche brand that has expanded their business to overseas. Really wanna know the nose behind their frags, since quite number of westerners already reviewed their line, including Cubaknow.

province86 kindly share your thought on FM Musc Ravageur bro. Is it good?
*
Yes. That's what got me interested. Cubaknow seems to love Rirana's black wood and plum rose. Really tempted to try.

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Mar 22 2019, 11:26 AM)
A few red flags I noticed in the site
1. ALL perfume priced at RM120.
2. Chanel at RM120. Definitely a fake. No way in hell you'll get such price from Chanel. Even when buying from online seller. You'll only get around 10% discount from counter at most.

So I can conclude that it's definitely a fake fragrance seller. And it seems that the site stopped posting in 2014. So...probably went out of business or something.

Edit : Seems like they are still active selling on lelong.my

Hi guys, where can I get good deal for Blue de Chanel?
*
As what bro province86 said, Chanel fragrance are hard to come by and if you manage to find one, you'll only get around 10% discount at most. So there's not much difference in buying directly at the counter.

However having said that, I do know this seller Firdaus Perfume (on fb and IG) which he can get from time to time some chanel frags. He obtained it through staff redemption from Chanel. You can try and have a look at his page.

I personally bought a few fragrances from him (jpg ultra Male, Dior Sauvage, DHI & DHP) and can vouch for it's authenticity.
