Two of the best masculine scents from Dior's mainstream line have arrived in the mail yesterday (restocked). Both still smell and perform the same (no reformulation). Today, I'm wearing another one of my absolute favorites from the designer line - PAPHI. Yes, you can tell that myrrh is one of my favorite notes in perfumes.

QUOTE(squall1987 @ Jun 17 2016, 12:24 PM) I got it from ethusis. Eau Savauge Parfum is hard to come by and he was so kind to reserve it for me. He was also my source for Amouage testers, which unfortunately are no longer available for purchase. |

QUOTE(jarcmercier @ Jun 20 2016, 06:12 PM) Coincidently I'm wearing Eau Savauge Parfum today. Such a masculine and soothing scent under a cooling Kch weather today. I bought my tester bottle fr ethusis too and still have 40% left. Haha, it was just perfect for a cool morning yesterday. Seems like many of us here bought from ethusis too. A highly recommended LYN seller. I only wished he could bring Amouage back. |

If I read it correctly, your batch code is 1x01, which according to http://checkcosmetic.net, it was manufactured in Oct 2011 but yours is a current version (first released in 2012) with silver collar instead of the original 2008 with black collar.
QUOTE(ferros @ Jun 28 2016, 09:57 PM) Hi All, This post has been edited by t0n3: Jun 29 2016, 10:55 AMWanna ask all fragrance expert here, can i come into conclusion that a fragrance is genuine as long as it meet the following: -batch code same within the box and bottle -No any defect on the bottle itself -Batch code can be check and found online Reason being was i recently purchase a fragrance from a shop in one of the shopping mall. Fragrance i brought was Dior Homme Sport. It was damn damn darn CHEAP!!! RM 150 for any 2 fragrance, so i end up getting this Dior Homme Sport on RM 75 only. This price got lead me to suspect it was fake, or not genuine. The box seem like a bit different with current Dior Homme Sport packaging. Not sure is it old version. The only downside i notice was the cap was very loose. But i check those details/batch code it seem all fine, the fragrance was manufacture on 2011-10. I even got test this out on my skin, it longevity was considered superb for a sport fragrance, even though i need to over apply it. But it last 8 hours ++. The smell should be the same as per ori, i got smell the tester at Sephora once, from my nose it should be same. So it seem like a good deal for me and is a genuine product, but since i am still new in this, so wanna get some thoughts with all guru hereĀ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks. |

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jul 11 2016, 01:42 AM) How much is the Dior Privee selling in KL? RM1.3k for 125ml bottle? Thanks to GST, perfumes in Malaysia is no longer cheaper in the region.I'll check out the new Dior Privee in Changi T3 soon. Hopefully it's cheaper since MYR is getting slightly stronger :- - http://www.changiairport.com/en/airport-ex...eauty-loft.html |

Freshly bottled in front of me in June 2014 (just before EstƩe Lauder acquired it in Jan 2015). Today, the juice is a little darker and smells a little richer. QUOTE(TheNiro @ Aug 4 2016, 11:59 AM) Mine is the "known" 2011 version (w/ black stem). Why called known? Because it was made known by Dior that they have redesigned its bottle slightly. I've tried the original 2005 version on my skin. They are not much different in terms of smell and performance despite what most ppl say.Is there any reformulation for the 2011 version you ask? I don't have the batch code with me now but I have two bottles of black stem 2011 version, one I got few years ago and another one just few months ago. They both smell the same to my nose. |

SOTD - Prada Amber PH Intense
After many years, this one's still my all-time favorite. Class in a bottle. This and Tom Ford Noir (EdP) do share some similarities in terms of powderiness. Noir smells more like diluted Shalimar to my nose. ![]() |

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Aug 9 2016, 06:42 AM) Hi bro, how is your experience with Dior Cuir Canage . Did you try it already ? You bought how many ml bottle. I've tried Cuir Cannage several times but only recently I ordered a small decant to test it thoroughly. The two prominent notes, iris and birch tar are what I really love. The carrot-like iris is the same kind in Silver Iris Mist by Serge Lutens (one of the reference iris scents out there). The birch tar doesn't jump right at you like Lonestar Memories by Tauer Perfumes or Ambra by Santa Maria Novella (which I really love). However, CC is really soft for my liking to warrant a full bottle which costs almost RM1k to purchase. This and Knzie Ten smell somewhat similar to Cuir Mauresque by Serge Lutens which I absolutely adore (but too expensive to get because it's only available in bell jar non-export line). I bought something different instead (it's already arrived in Kuching).SOTD - Absolu Rochas One of the underrated discontinued gems (Rochas Femme is more popular from the line). It's all about the goodness of resins with tolu, benzion and labdanum with mandarin on top. It's an oriental lover's dream. It smells somewhat similar to Tolu by Ormonde Jayne, which I almost bought a FB of but they cancelled my order due to no shipping to Malaysia. I'm glad that they did because Absolu is so much cheaper to get. ![]() This post has been edited by t0n3: Aug 9 2016, 11:20 AM |

QUOTE(marver @ Aug 9 2016, 06:28 PM) Thanks for sharing. No wonder why some people are anosmic to musk. Oh, about the sense of smell of newborns, that's why I don't wear perfume when I'm with my little prince.SOTD - Eau Sauvage by Dior This one's been in my weekly rotation lately. Smells much more complex than the official 3 notes listed. ![]() This post has been edited by t0n3: Aug 10 2016, 11:42 AM |

SOTD - Incense Avignon by CdG
One of the reference Church incense scents out there. Created by master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Smells similar to Full Incense by Montale, Cardinal by James Heeley, La Liturgie des Heures by Jovoy and Sahara Noir by Tom Ford (ambered incense) with slight variations each. Incense Avignon brings to mind, priest swinging incense censer in a stone-cold medieval Church with pipe organ playing and choirs chanting in the background. This scent is cold and airy but not fleeting. A good meditative scent if you're a religious Roman Catholic. ![]() |

QUOTE(kamen91 @ Aug 12 2016, 01:08 AM) hello, wanna ask i just purchased invictus aqua from an online seller in instagram. She sell it for rm170 new in box. And i checked the manufactured code is in december 2015. I thought aqua is release in 2016. Is this invictus aqua is fake? Please help thank you The Aqua flanker is released this year but the original Invictus is first released in 2013. I'm sorry to say yours is most probably fake. On top of that, Paco Rabanne is not distributed under P&G. You can refer it here :-- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Proct...6_Gamble_brands That's why I don't buy from some random online sellers except the ones I trust and stick to them. ethusis (from LYN) is one of them together with our regular fraghead bro marver as mentioned. Online sites I used are :- - http://my.bestbuy-world.com/ - https://myen.strawberrynet.com/main.aspx - http://www.fragrancex.com/ - http://essenza-nobile.de/ - http://www.ausliebezumduft.de/?___store=english - http://www.theperfumeshoppe.com/Default.asp You can also try ebay but always check the seller's rating first. Happy shopping! This post has been edited by t0n3: Aug 12 2016, 10:34 AM |
