If it doesn't claim to be all-natural like April Aromatics, I'm sure they use both. My samples of the trio should reach me today. It was posted over Poslaju counter at Jusco Seremban last Sat.

My teeny weeny samples arrived just now. Next 4 days will be Auphorie Days biggrin.gif

Talking about TM, I'm tempted to get that new Ultra Zest from strawberrynet with additional 30% off given to me. Anyone tried that?
*
Ultra Zest is my 2nd TM frag after A Men...got it last year from Parkson during one of its sale period. I am a fan of the original A Men but feel that our weather is a bit too hot to pull it off without offending some people with its sheer "power". But it still has a permanent place in my collection due to its uniqueness and its "either love it or hate it" character.

Ultra Zest is THE citrusy gourmand in my collection and the one seeing more usage c/w A-Men. Just love the blast of tangerine but still with the heart of A-Men goodness.

and talking about Dior Homme I now know what to buy for replacement once my juice runs out.....it will be none other than Valentino Uomo Intense. IMO this is simply a "better" DH with better projection and lasting power on my skin.

How's the performance on this? I read it isn't long lasting and soft.
*
It isn't as long lasting as A-Men but I'm guessing you will like it if you love/like the original flanker. I get about 2hrs of sillage with medium projection, then becoming a skin scent for another 4-6 hrs. And the sprayer is still lousy sad.gif

OK thanks bro!

What's your initial opinion of the Auphorie samples bro? My initial sampling have 2 "likes" and 2 "dislikes". I simply cannot stand the opening of Formosa and Nyonya, the former is somewhat very harsh and the later is too sickly sweet.

Miyako and Binturong deserves another testing next week.

Nope, just a couple of Xerjoff. Wanna test it out on my skin before buying a full bottle. Granted, I'm okay with losing the item, it's a test buy smile.gif
How would you rate it against Amouage Opus VI?
*
Last month got myself 4 decants of Xerjoff : Kobe, 40 Knots, Mefisto and 1861 Renaissance. To me Mefisto is very similar to Creed's Silver Mountain, maybe its a better version IMO. Kobe has a weird opening, an almost bitter smell but let it simmer down a while and it turns into a lovely aromatic and spicy scent. 40 Knots is touted as an aquatic but to me its more woody spicy scent....not bad at all. And then there is the !861....on my oh myyyyy....this has to my favourite of the 4. A few spritz and you are immediately enveloped in a lemon orange bergamot heaven notworthy.gif . Detected a whiff of mint in the mix and it dries down o a beautiful woody floral. Powerful stuff this for a citrus scent....it lasts and projects very well.

And now am eagerly waiting for my full bottle of Nio..... dry.gif

Do you guys know where I can get miniatures/small amount ?

I've shortlisted a few :-

Chanel bleu
YSL la nuit
D&G the one
CH Men prive
Dior Sauvage

But would really like to test it out on longer hours.  I just need enough for a few days .

BTW any reputable places online to purchase without the worry that it is fake?
*
I think a few of our contributors here do have a huge collection for decants...search for maxtorxxx or marver

Lately mornings have been sunny and hot so what better scent than the fresh invigorating smell of citruses....and for today my SOTD is the Sicilian Mandarin from Zegna. To my nose the opening scent is like when you are peeling the mandarin fruit itself... zesty and full of freshness.

Been reaching for citrus scents these past few days.....Allure Edition Blanche, Xerjoff 1861 and today its Mandarin time hehe.

That's cool. I've got to try it.
I purchased the entire Zegna Essenze fragrances. Sicilian Mandarin is pretty nice smooth and soft.
*
Whoaaa congrats bro....I only have Indonesian Oud, Sicilian Mandarin and Peruvian Ambrette. The most potent IMO is Indo Oud not surprisingly since its oud based. A rose oud scent in the vein of the famous Dior's Oud Ispahan. But my fav has to be Peruvian Ambrette....a musky woody amber scent that is very elegant indeed.

Anyone has any experience with Chanel Les Exclusifs?

Saw that they're currently available at Klcc but not sure what to look for.
*
If you meant experience as having tested it on skin, then I have tried only 1 of the collection. It was Sycomore because so many reviewers says its similar to Lalique Encre Noir which I own a full bottle. Suffice to say I think those looking for a dark damp earthy vetiver scent, save ur money and get Encre Noir instead. To my untrained nose they are almost identical. And I love my Encre Noir.

Read somewhere someone mentioned that if Dracula were to wear a perfume.....this would be it. And I do agree. biggrin.gif

Ken Apothecary has a few stores around KL.....latest to open is in KLCC. Else you could also buy from some reputable sellers here in this forum.

Tested this monster of a perfume yesterday evening @5pm and today at 8.30am ( after shower biggrin.gif ) could still smell it on my wrist. This is in Amouage Interlude territory in terms of sillage and longevity and it smells very nice. From the opening blast of amber and incense to the leather undertone during its drydown.....its unlike the "normal" oud/rose combo much preferred by other designers.

Those looking for a somewhat dry oud scent maybe could give this a tryout.....available at Isetan KLCC. Its a bit more expensive @ RM580 compared to other mainstream designer perfume but well worth it IMO.

A super refreshing combo of citrus and mint with super projection and longevity on my skin. Its rare to find citrus based perfumes with such performance, another one BUT better would be Nio. But that is reserved for special days hehe.

Dries down to a lovely ambery sweetness still with a hint of citrus/mint. One of my absolute fav.

Need a recommendation from all the sifu here on a cologne

Budget RM 300ish
Cologne that can last for a few hours
Used daily for work
I sometimes sweat cause I'm a realtor and need to run around to meet clients

What would you guys recommend?

I used Issey Miyake in high school and like the smell, but not sure if it's appropriate now
*
Give Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche a try. A great fresh and citrusy opening just nice for our hot humid weather.

Just wanted to "heads up" to those looking to stock-up or buy the now discontinued Prada Infusion d'Homme, it seems the Prada Boutique in KLCC has managed to procure some bottles. Price is RM355 for 100ml.

A clean fresh "out of shower" kinda scent in the same vein as Mugler Cologne. This is the kind of scent you would want to wear on a long haul flight IMO :-)
