Nope, it won't cool off you're notebook at a large extent, but at least, it'll keep you're notebook from overheating... rclxms.gif

If you ask me, there's two good laptop cooler that is quite okay for me...

It's:

1) CoolerMaster Notepal
2) Evercool Zodiac [I don't really remember the name... sweat.gif ]

Go on, try it, it may at least cool off you're notebook more than letting you're notebook go overheat... thumbup.gif

CoolerMaster Notepal didnt do j@ck for my Inspiron9400, it's very silent i'll admit, but it didnt make a single degree as compare to my book i put at the rear of my lappy to elevate it.

my advice, just stack up a few books to elevate ur laptop, so that there some airflow beneath ut laptop.

cheers.

I'll say do a home made one, thats my own plan for my laptop. Or you can use the way seanl suggested, it works great too.

Try a bit taller for more airflow, about the DIY part, I would not comment much on it yet since I'm still experimenting on mine.

Frankly.... "notebook cooler" pads don't do jack.

It's just cooling the plastic underside... Ya get the same effect raising up the lappie..just like the eraser thingy.

I have one as well...but I'm using it mainly to prevent burning my lap, kejantanan....and when typing on my bed.

Thats the main reason I'm trying to DIY one, to try to push the air into the laptop instead of just blowing at the plastic pad.

i find it very practical
used to hit 90'c when doing video editing last time
when it is on full blast, drop to 70'c ++ only

wont do any good.. doh.gif at least with the cheapo generic cooler, don't know if it does make any difference with trusted brand. try cleaning your laptop first from any dust especially if your laptop is beyond 1yo.. mostly suffer from blocked vent.

clean the dust and change a better thermal paste will greatly reduce the temperature
my laptop 92°C at gaming, after cleaning + change thermal paste it drops to 57°C, without any cooler pad
