Nope, it won't cool off you're notebook at a large extent, but at least, it'll keep you're notebook from overheating...

If you ask me, there's two good laptop cooler that is quite okay for me...

2) Evercool Zodiac [I don't really remember the name... ]

Go on, try it, it may at least cool off you're notebook more than letting you're notebook go overheat...
