Nah. I used VISA. The additional 5% discount is not applicable for SWITCH. But it is available for the games and its accessories.

Still way cheaper than Malaysia so go purchase.

Purchased 2 weeks back.

The only reworked part I saw was the game more with that extremely gimmicky bullshit of doing Hadouken and Shoryuken motion with the Joycons. The core game itself is older than some of the folks here, and have been graphically reworked so many times, I lose count of how many times and what "Super Ultra Mega EX Alpha Beta Ultimate Challenger" Edition have been milked by Capcom. This game is USD19.99 at most to me, anything beyond that is a tough sell. Hell, I'd even accept Street Fighter IV barebones for 40 dollars compared to this nonsense. They did that with the NDS, and yet they regressed to this 20+year old version of a game with the Switch. SMH.

If they don't feel like serious technical fighting games are a good fit for the Switch, they might as well do PowerStone instead of milking a 20+ year old game. Such a shame, Zelda's proven that the hardware is capable enough, and yet, publishers are still treating the Switch as nothing more than a platform for pixel-art indies, and "family friendly" shovelware.

Wresting myself away from the Switch at the moment: Persona 5 demands that free time.

First day of Switch, without any game, I feel so empty. The Switch itself got nothing much to setup. Turn on, login, update and browse some eshop things. Zelda incoming tomorrow I guess. Hope this Switch can fill the hole where PS4 left on me.

I don't completely disagree with you, but it is far from just the lazy port it seems to look like. Maximilian I think explains it best here https://youtu.be/dW2u-VZs7JY where he also sort of changes his mind about the game.

It's not new, but it's not just a port either. Not ideal, and I agree with you on price. My hope is that one of the studios bring a current fighting game to Switch, making the others scramble.

Mario Kart 8 will get more people playing I hope. I'm ready to host most of the night again like the Wii U times. Should be fun.

Arms and Splatoon 2 exact release date should be announced on the next Nintendo Direct which is in 2 days, I guess. Also we might get a few new games announced, but seriously don't hope much.... cuz E3 is near, and i'm sure Nintendo will save most for E3, since they said they are attending E3 and announcing stuff. Rather than just Treehouse for the past 2 years.

I still have nightmares about E3 Nintendo 2015. After how awesome 2014 direct was, 2015 was like, dream destroyer.

Direct was before E3 even started as I remember. They didn't bother going to E3 with full force.
This year they said it's gonna be different. Probably the same old approach, and probably have a direct during E3 announcement unlike before.

The creative director wrote "We are definitely porting to Switch. " in the feedback section.
