There definitely is a hardware issue apparently. Some people can send it for replacement controller, not sure about Malaysia. Also apparently the newer controllers may have already be fixed at source. https://www.cnet.com/news/nintendo-switch-j...vity-issue-fix/

Yup sorry, repaired, not replaced. Wonder what our options are, seems like a hassle to send by post. Wonder if some local shops will be able to do the repair as it seems simple.

QUOTE(Upsilon @ Mar 22 2017, 03:46 PM) They don't even consider it a region. There is only still US, EU and Japan. The usual, but maybe in the future they would focus more elsewhere. They just don't seems to care much.

At least they have an official Ninty ofis there Ninty HK provides 2 years warranty, and provide walk-in 1-to-1 swap for faulty hardwares during the launch Here? Maxsoft? jangan harap hence I'm gonna wait till my April HK trip to grab one over there This post has been edited by greyshadow: Mar 22 2017, 04:05 PM

My only issue with the Switch is minor. Like the battery indicator is kinda derpy for me. A few times it indicates that it was low in battery like 15%, shut it down and opening it again makes it 20% or so. But nothing much besides that for me. No L joycon issue, no stratches (still no screen protector and docks a lot) and other issues. Now that I remember even my Wii U gamepad screen never had screen protector and it never scratches before as well. Wii U screen plastic felt cheaper and not even as glossy as Switch. Doing good so far.
Just finished Zelda as well with most of the side quest and riddles. 10/10. Mix feeling whether to make it my most favourite Zelda or not against Wind Waker. Or just call it even xD

So if you send back the joycon that is having those desync issue, Nintendo will just place a non-conductive foam at the metal box to solve the issue. As identified by most people, the metal box is the thing that is effing up the signal. Easy fix, just adding a small foam managed to strengthen the signal. Before: After: small square looking black foam SosNintendo's official statement: QUOTE There is no design issue with the Joy-Con controllers, and no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort is underway. A manufacturing variation has resulted in wireless interference with a small number of the left Joy-Con. Moving forward this will not be an issue, as the manufacturing variation has been addressed and corrected at the factory level. We have determined a simple fix can be made to any affected Joy-Con to improve connectivity. There are other reasons consumers may be experiencing wireless interference. We are asking consumers to contact our customer support team so we can help them determine if a repair is necessary. If it is, consumers can send their controller directly to Nintendo for the adjustment, free of charge, with an anticipated quick return of less than a week. Repair timing may vary by region.
