A very common butterfly in Malaysia.. not sure why its called a "Four Ring" when it clearly has more than that haha...
Oh well, don't know too much about butterflies, they all look the same, and are all very hard to photograph!

Beautiful butterfly shot biggrin.gif

Any idea of the ID for the following spiders?

Holy! Where did you find #2 and #3? In Kampar?
@DS_Legacy will be interested to know since his project is on these spiders  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Glad that you are seeing more types of arachnids now hehe~

As for the ID:
#1- can't really tell, need more angles
#2- Leucauge decorata- Decorative Leucauge (from the family Tetragnathidae). Members of the family Tetragnathidae (commonly know as big-jawed spiedrs) are all very long and slim, and sometimes have very big jaws.
#3- Opadometa sp.- This one is very closely related to Leucauge (also from the family Tetragnathidae). Try to take a look at the 4th pair of legs (counting from the front), you will see some very beautiful comb-like bristles that are worth taking  thumbup.gif

Awwww I thought u shot them in Kampar. sad.gif
Anyway, nice meow photo. It is a tortoiseshell cat with a coat coloring found almost exclusively in female cats, so called because of the similarity to the tortoiseshell. I saw one here in Kampar too. tongue.gif

hehe i will be travelling back to kl this sem break and shoot at FRIM again, wanna join? brows.gif

woah you even know info of cats? blink.gif

The ant mimicking spider looks really mean because of the totally black body.

Around 1.7k-1.9k. Ohoh. Have u tried tamron 70-200mm non-vc?

i have one before, it's a fine lens if you can live with the loud and slightly slow autofocus. And for that price, you can't really ask more.

Hi all, just found and joined this forum. Thinking of buying 2nd hand D7100 with kit lens. Currently have D3100 with kit lens from year 2011, and a newly bought nikor 10-24mm lens. Do you guyz think its a wise choice? Tq
*
which part do you feel lacking with your d3100? Mind you the d7100 is a whole lot bigger and heavier camera, more buttons and complicated setups too.

The main reason of thinking to upgrade is when it come to autofocus. My d3100 has only 11 points and also the speed to focus quite slow. I'm not very familiar with every setting in the camera itself coz lack of friends who are interested in this field  rclxub.gif
*
well the autofocus system on the d7100 is going to be a lot better for sure. if you are determined to learn, it's actually not that hard smile.gif

How about the output from the lens? Thanks ya.

Nice. The lens seem quite heavy right?

quite light as a 70-200 f2.8 but nowhere close to a bring everywhere lens la. smile.gif still I manage to lug it around most of the times when I owned it, one of my favourite lens.
