Hmm.. i would remove the sticky rubber-coating... with solvent that's gentle on plastic... i removed my Microsoft Mouse 2000 which have rubber-coating , as they claim for softer grip and comfortable...
yea, sure it's comfortable when new... once it's used and after some time.. the gum underneath will somehow change and thus sticky.. i have several of the same mouse, brand new, sealed in their boxes, and it's sticky already when i check on them after some time. I would recommend you to stay off rubber-coatings or soft touch. they tend to give sticky surface and damm attract dust when's used for some time. |

how long have you had that chassis? if it's within a year, you could get it replaced as RMA

QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Mar 15 2015, 04:50 PM) for me, i use RainX (prevent blur window on car window), or nail polish... that don't corrode your plastic. after that, give it a coat of flat black, but use primer first ( can find in hardware store )... and that would be closest to the original softouch. |

QUOTE(victorjyen6881 @ Apr 1 2016, 12:09 PM) Buy some rubbing alcohol and clean it up. the bare plastic will have swirl marks ( plastic moulding process, not because of alcohol ) and you can buy a Spray Paint ( flat Black ) and spray over it nicely. Add Primer surfacer for more durable finish. |

I used thinner on my bitfenix shinobi sticky parts. Able to remove the sticky parts revealing the bare plastic. Bare plastic looks much better than sticky dusty black crap, however I repainted with matte black spray paint and now it looks nice again.
