What concerned me is that we have so much gap to fill in our military capability; SPH, attack helicopter, mid range SAM, 2nd batch MBT, both MiG and F-5 replacement, AEW, trainer aircraft, nuri replacement, LST replacement, rearmament of Kasturi and Kedah class ship, MPA,4 more subs....

Did I miss something?

Using guesstimation and elementary arithmetic, all this is going to cost at least 15 billion dollar.

Malaysia summons Philippine official over claim on Sabah

The Malaysian government has summoned Philippine Charge d'Affaires Medardo G Macaraig over remarks made by President Benigno S Aquino on Philippines' claim on Sabah.

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Sunday it had summoned the Philippine Charge d'Affaires Medardo G Macaraig on May 19 over the remarks made by President Benigno S Aquino.

The Philippine President had remarked on Philippines' claim on Sabah in an interview by Ms Raissa Robles for the South China Morning Post on May 15.

In the interview, President Aquino had stated that he would not drop Philippine's claim to Sabah, contrary to what critics of his centerpiece legislation on Muslim autonomy - the Bangsamoro Basic Law - are saying.

Malaysia's MFA on Sunday reiterated in a statement "its position that Malaysia does not recognise and will not entertain any claims by any party on Sabah".

It added that Sabah is recognised by the United Nations and international community as part of Malaysia since Sep 16, 1963.

What matters more is the percentage the military will get for fleet expansion/modernization/new capability
