Imo, sabah is quite secure given how we have developed the pulau layang-layang.
Sarawak james shoal is the main problem for now.

gov kalau takde orang push depa, memang takkan buat punya

problem is with the citizens..if citizens buat dunno je about defence and only look at gst like they're doing now, then gov won't do anything much about defence..if citizens demand for more defence budget, set up rallies n demos about it, be vocal about it..only then gov baru nak terkial2 give more budget..

If dealing with China, they only respect force, no point talking.

I disagree.
Rather the government is not looking at military seriously.
more worrying me is all politician does not emphasize and take military seriously be whichever camp they came from.
we are lacking of real military modernisation planning and also white paper analaysis on our military.
we are also lacking of good procurement process which allowed too many leakage and allowed politician to meddle the procurement process.
Sigh.

By saying like that I doubt any of the asean country they need to respect.
Is there anything we can do if they simply park an aircraft carrier 2 destroyer and nuke sub in our door? I doubt none.

For now pulau layang layang areas pretty much safe.
China cant do much there unless they go in there by force.

the dual engine requirement have both its advance and disadvantage. Though the preference is dual engine, if single is cost effective, RMAF would take it nonetheless

Either party is doomed for the military anyway. One assume using LTZ in sampan with guns enough to deter china while another busy with their own political survival
