All crew members are Airbus Defence and Space employees of Spanish nationality.... http://airbusdefenceandspace.com/newsroom/...00m-in-seville/ |

QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ May 11 2015, 04:19 PM) Thats why I asked earlier, what is exactly is on the arms embargo on China? Probably non-NATO countries don't apply to it, but I see Germany freely sell marine engines to China which is being installed on PLAN warships. Dont understand.... U also see France..... 50% china tech getting from France. oem helicopter, Z8 and Z9, oem helicopter engine ... missile... now also join aircraft engine development. even many people said china thanks to France because Money so they can get many technology. |

QUOTE(yinchet @ May 15 2015, 12:20 PM) Hmm, 1400km of shorelines. yes, agree,I dun think we have enough heli to use for qrf to cover the whole shorelines. Really need 3-6 heli for every 150km-200km. but at lease setup at major city first like Semporna and Sandakan first as priority. like 6-8 unit first If those helis will buy under Polis spec (law enforcement version), price much cheaper like about usd 7-8 million per-unit, but military spec cost will double up. QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ May 15 2015, 12:43 PM) Unlike land borders that can be restricted due to geographical features (mountains, rivers, deserts) that can potentially be used as bottlenecks by law enforcement agencies, a sea border is much, much harder to police due to the fact that the sea is open and that intruders can literally go anywhere and make landfall anywhere they wish. well it not difficult, Esscom zone no international water, is sea border between Philippine or Indonesia. so priority to check boat in/out border. our fishermen also ban cross border to fishing. Is good to random check fisherman boat.A porous sea border that people have traditionally ignored due to a shared culture between two countries is a particular nightmare. Close proximity to both countries also doesn't help. Sure you can spot a boat from far away by radar, but you can't possibly positively ID the intentions of its occupants by that alone. Between armed kidnappers or innocent fishermen, we can never know for certain which boat holds which unless you make a positive ID by checking the boat manually. And there is simply no way you can chase and canvass every single blip you can see on your radar screen. You can check random boats to deter armed people, but beyond that is humanly impossible. I'm sure the authorities are doing all they can to combat these kinds of people with what they currently have, but to ask them for more is somewhat unrealistic unless major changes are employed. Also gov intention to required install (AIS) transponder in all Malaysia fisher boot, but than cost issue come out, each set cost 3-5k who want cover cost. still have argument on this. other is those kidnappers no using fisher boot which slow to escape, they usually using more High-speed boat at sea, easy to track from radar, but than those high-speed boat usually small (3M²) than fisherman boat, usually radar only can track less than 10km from normal small polis/MMEA boat. so to efficiency protection at sea is , setup at outpost or large ship (good radar) near sea border with few intercept boat with in 5-8km boarder each., setup intercept zone or forbid zone or close sea if something intruder case happen in land. Off couse add helis to patrol, search and rescue is importance。 This post has been edited by waja2000: May 15 2015, 03:08 PM |

QUOTE(BorneoAlliance @ May 15 2015, 05:55 PM) Sandakan kidnap: Fast track attack helicopter deployment, urges Musa Aman even book attack helicopter also take 2 year to get it. SANDAKAN: Sabah cannot be held at ransom of cross border kidnappers any longer with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman asking Putrajaya to fast track the deployment of attack helicopters for the Eastern Sabah Security Zone. Musa said that he spoke to the Prime Minister on Thursday night and asked him to allocate more assets to Sabah. He also highlighted the need for attack choppers to curb the cross border criminals. “These kidnappings have to stop. Sabah cannot be repeatedly held for ransom,” he told the media after a briefing by top security personnel at his Sri Libaran house here on Friday. “We can no longer just depend on speedboats. We need attack helicopters,” he said. Musa, who is state security council chairman, said that the authorities must do whatever it takes to put an end to the kidnappings. The daring abduction of two Malaysians by at least four Filipino gunmen at the Ocean King Seafood Restaurant on Thursday evening shocked Sabahans as the raid was along the mainland hardly 3kms from bustling Sandakan town. Security forces in Sabah are continuing operations to hunt down the suspects and rescue the two kidnap victims. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015...-Musa-choppers/ use AW109LUH first loh, but than AW109LUH station in Johor, if transfer some to sandakan and Semporna, support/maintenance will be issue for 3 place. better transfer all to sabah, than need transfer all support also pilot and family, it will be other tough plan This post has been edited by waja2000: May 15 2015, 07:41 PM |

Airbus Defence and Space has today (Tuesday 19 May) sent an Alert Operator Transmission (AOT) to all operators of the A400M informing them about specific checks to be performed on the fleet.
To avoid potential risks in any future flights, Airbus Defence and Space has informed the operators about necessary actions to take. In addition, these results have immediately been shared with the official investigation team. Statement Regarding Alert Operator Transmission (AOT) to A400M Operators The AOT requires Operators to perform one-time specific checks of the Electronic Control Units (ECU) on each of the aircraft’s engines before next flight and introduces additional detailed checks to be carried out in the event of any subsequent engine or ECU replacement. This AOT results from Airbus Defence and Space’s internal analysis and is issued as part of the Continued Airworthiness activities, independently from the on-going Official investigation. |
