I have a question. Is Liteon SSD OEM performance good? I've googled few user reviews and most of them said it's worth getting it.

Ok got it thanks. I was going for best bang for buck initially but with the weakening ringgit the liteon is now at rm399 vs rm530 for the Samsung evo.

So I'm wondering maybe it's worth paying for the better brand, 2 years extra warranty and slightly better performance on the evo (I assume performance is better not too sure about that).. No idea what rapid is

Since many recommend Liteon S900 I just might get one. I saw in garage sale people selling OEM liteon? is it the same S900? Where to find the cheapest price for it? I am planning to purchase it January next year.

ok hehe imo in m.2 form, the main downside is overheating of controller.

after all this while, there might be other options. previously this was the only one with heatsink.

edit: btw, you need some thermal pads to ensure proper contacts between the ssd and heatsink. for some sata ssds, their aluminum case is actually used as heat spreader.

for screens, it will take some time to go 8k. currently the gpu power is not that great to drive even 4k screens at high fps. so first of all, i might wanna try the taste of 4k with at least 120hz gsync first hehe

ALERT: although i like plextor drives, there is a high failure rate of plextor drives being reported recently (model and capacity unknown). the actual reasons of drive failure are also unknown. if you're an owner of one, back up your data from time to time from now on.
