Zombies are a recurring theme in many cultures spread throughout the world, reanimating the dead, voodoo and black magic are the darker side of a culture. How could this be? How can multiple cultures share a common myth? According to ancient Egyptians, they mummify the dead in hope that they will one day "rise again". In the bible, Jesus is said to be "resurrected" after his death. In Chinese traditional folklore, they have a JiangShi, which means stiff corpse, or a hopping corpse. In Malaysia, they have a local myth called "Pocong" which explains that a soul trapped in a dead body that has been wrapped in a Muslim burial shroud. It is said that the Pocong travel by hopping, which is a shared trait with the Chinese JiangShi. Perhaps in ancient times, resurrection is common among the dead, using ancient technology that has failed to be passed down, or could it be that the first "undead" be an Alien? Could the zombies actually be a superhuman race capable of regenerating life that had went extinct? Perhaps, we will never find out.

Kinda weird if JiangShi really exist and only those during qing dynasty turned JiangShi? |
