Got any smartwatch or band that can alert (no need call/read, just alert) when got incoming call, msg or whatspp? And with time display.
I know Mi band can vibrate when phone got notification but its don't display time.

Not 100% sure but I think Fitbit should fit your description.

My own thought:
Smart watch is just an extension or compliment to smartphone. Smartphone works perfectly fine without smart watch.

In early time of owning the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit, it is fun to view notification on the watch, change watch face, heart rate sensor, change wall paper, connect some apps, pedometer. The watch will vibrate when notification is being pushed, or when a call is incoming.

I still prefer to view all the notification on the smartphone, where I can reply (Gear Fit cannot reply message), still prefer the bigger screen on smartphone.

Now, I used the Gear Fit as a digital watch only.
It is still a gadget watch, look much unique and expensive than conventional watch, but cost much less (actually quite affordable) than the branded mechanical watch.
*
That's why need 'proper' smartwatch aka Android Wear. Reply to message via voice, quick search, Gmap navigation etc.

Found Satu Gadget Dot com is selling LG G Watch for RM339. Is this shop recommended?

Anything need to take care before placing an order to this entry AW before CNY?
*
Careful on charging pin corruption thing, LG release a firmware 'supposing' to fix it ( not sure how true s/w could fix a h/w flaw ). Didnt follow up much on this afterward, great price for an Android Wear biggrin.gif

*
Huawei watch:
AMOLED display.
Higher resolution.
Full circle display.

Moto 360 2nd gen:
Many watchfaces with customization.
Larger screen version comes with larger battery.
Reviews said it's more comfortable.
Futuristic feel with protruding screen.
Auto brightness.

Ya ya, great price. rclxms.gif

Still trying to justify the change from my Moto 360 1st gen to Huawei Watch, maybe the upcoming Android Wear update will justify it since it will come speaker support.  icon_idea.gif

With above price, might need to look up again cool.gif

Doze mode: recognizes when your watch is idle (not charging and not in active use) and puts it in a deep sleep state to preserve power.

From moto 360 2nd gen update, but this Doze will come to all Wear devices.
Yay, no more 12% drop ( not connected ) over night.

Yap, I have android wear on the phone . My question is , the WhatsApp icon does not exist on the lists in the watch. Others like calculator, remote camera, we chat agenda etc appear.
From the we chat on the watch, I can switch between personal and group to view or reply message.
But WhatsApp it only show incoming message with basic reply function,
This is the link, just can't find the WhatsApp icon.

*
I never really check before, but in my memory, whatsapp was never inside AW's list ( means you cant launch whatsapp manually from AW, can only reply when it trigger )

Got some love and hate feel on round or square smartwatch.

Round watch look handsome on hand, but it is only suitable for round watch.
For other smart feature to display, and type on round smartwatch is a little awkward.

Then, on square watch, it look more conventional, and old fashion.
But it is more like a small smartphone on a wrist, which can display and used more properly.
May look lame if put side by side with a round smartwatch.

Should try wear both on wrist before considering ya????

If only they could design a square AW with tiny bezel, IINM all square smartwatch have huge bezel ( like above ZW ), even Apple Watch's bezel aint tiny. If they pull out large square screen AW with tiny bezel ( or no bezel rclxms.gif like moto 360 ), I bet it will looks much nicer, rather than toy watch of current gen square AW.

No official dealer, Pebble has free international shipping.

Tbh, I quite like the Pebble Time Round, very thin. But I just splashed $$ to buy the LG Urbane...waiting for it to arrive. rclxms.gif
*
No point going Pebble Time Round, super thin but I heard it impacted battery life. So basically it's just one or two days better than AW sweat.gif

Ya it will be. One of the reason I like smartwatch is the subtle notification. I'll be notified via vibrate from smartwatch, then subtly glance at notification via smartwatch biggrin.gif

I gave up waiting for gemfive to restock or at least let us know when they r restocking and bought the zenwatch 2 already. I'm sure they'll restock a day or 2 after i buy. Lol. Bought the black one & its beautiful & so far so good. Just finished syncing & do some settings. This is my first wearable and i think it'll need some learning before i get it all. Few questions to the pros, when I'm at a place with wifi & both phone & the watch are connected to the wifi, can i switch off bluetooth? And there's a message on the watch asking me to get google play services as it is required for android wear to function. I hv it installed on my phone & it's not disabled or anything and I'm using s6 edge. So far i receive all notifications on the watch.
*
For wifi connected, can turn off bluetooth or not. Most likely, but not 100% sure.

For the message, question is have you install Android Wear ? Maybe you will need proprietary apps from Asus ( Moto 360 will prompt you to install Connect apps, HW no apps )

My 3rd Android Wear Device - The LG Watch Urbane

Coming from the 1st Gen Moto 360, some of the few things I like about the Urbane:

Better Battery Life: Even with Always-On, this device can definitely outlast my Moto 360, even when my Moto 360 doesn't have Always-On.

Smoother Performance: The smoothness in performance is pretty obvious here, much less choppy as compared to the Moto 360, especially during voice commands/replies. Also the screen has much better resolution.

No Flat Tire: I know many say they wouldn't mind the FT, but given the choice, I would rather not have the flat tire.

Uses Standard 22mm Straps: As compared to the Moto 360, any standard 22mm strap can be easily fitted on the watch. I had to use the SteelConnect M for the Moto 360 in order to achieve the same convenience.

Some things I miss:

Lack of Ambient Light Sensor: Lack of flat tire meaning lack of Ambient Light Sensor, which I missed during my time outdoors. Fortunately I don't hang around much outdoors under the sun. Till now I still wonder why can't manufacturers placed the ALS somewhere else and still giving the full circle. I guess it's the limitation of technology.

Design: Probably it's only my first day with the Urbane, but I still find Moto 360's overall design looks better. The lugs on the Urbane looks awkwardly large. But I do like the chrome finish of the Urbane though.

Thank you for reading. Loving the Urbane so far. Glad I made the jump, also got a great deal for this, SGD229 from Qoo10.SG

Congrats biggrin.gif
So true on battery life. Moto 360 ( without AlwaysOn ) I reached home with around 60% battery life. HW ( and most other AW with modern SOC ) reached home with 60% but AlwaysOn ( and not the Motorola's half-fake AlwaysOn tongue.gif )
Just like you, I really wanted Auto Brightness. True I rarely go outdoor too, but yesterday at Broga hill, damn it having difficult time to read time outside bangwall.gif
