But somehow since owned Gear S3, I felt the OG Huawei Watch felt kinda lag. Perhaps it's aging factor. Lol

I don't use any smart watch before so can't really compare. Normally end of working day around 70-90 percent left.

Yeap. And I off AOD. 

For gear S3 with AOD on, by the time reached home around 9-10pm, it still left with at least 40%-50%. On those days with less notification, easily  getting around 70%.
Preferred to wear S3 rather than my old OG Huawei Watch.

Any recommendations for high quality watch face that can rival Samsung 's stock version? At least Samsung stock watch face (may not great looking) but it just smooth, high quality with nice AoD compared to those watchmaker/watchmaster watch face. Some of those replicas watch face looks jagged.

Yea. The bezel is easy to scratch though. Need to be careful. I very careful already dont know how still can get a tiny scratch.

Buy the classic one. I think it should be less scratchable compared to frontier.

Anyone still using the 1st gen huawei? Has it aged well? I used one a couple years ago but subsequently sold it after a year and went back to traditional watch cuz worry smartwatch value drop too fast. Atleast a traditional watch retains a certain % of its value even after many years.

For notification etc I wear a smart band instead, light, small and significantly better battery life.

How abt the ecosystem ? What if not much watch face to choose from ? Not much apps to install ? 

if notification and health track, I choose band over watch, as much better battery life (I don't find any band beat Huawei Band interm of battery life yet).

same lah, I like watch but I can't buy all smart watch, cause they have very very short lifespan + don't wear they will die off, so I go for band for notification + health track for right hand, left hand I wear my normal watch.
not like our normal watch, I can keep it and change whenever I want to wear.

IMO still prefer Wear OS, simply for ecosystem. Yes, Google seems to pay little attention to it, but at least it still ( still ) does. Latest Wear OS update just boosted my TicWatch E performance significantly.

Google really need killer product to boost Wear OS.

Some time i do wear huawei watch 1 left hand, huawei band 2 pro on right hand, my friend asked me, why u need two watch, i told him, left is watch, right is band for activity (reason if i don't wear that huawei watch from time to time, i worry one day it will died off due to battery).

watch one still best design and sapphire crystal , no gorilla can beat
