QUOTE(weirdguy @ Apr 23 2017, 04:34 PM) Anyone owned a Lumia 650? How is it? Thundermatch offer only RM399 for a Lumia 650 eh! If you like me, these things to concern: 1. Small battery capacity 2. Back cover not fit perfectly. I.e. you can nudge slightly up and down, very very little imperfection, yet still bother me Can't say much since I'm using it as secondary to my Android This post has been edited by uan: Apr 24 2017, 11:22 AM

Hi guys,
Anyone facing storage issues?
Mine is mainly to do with the internal memory. I can't upgrade to the latest build because my internal storage is almost full.
All apps, videos, photos etc are being saved to my SD card directly. Some apps as you know must be stored in the internal memory and I can't do much about that. The OS itself takes up so much space.
I keep deleting whatsapp chats/group chats etc to leave some space but the warning comes back after a few days.
Anyone facing this? Or can help with this?
Thanks in advance!

I can't upgrade to the latest build because my internal storage is almost full. You can uninstall the Office apps if you don't need them. And make sure to clear your browser history/cache. The OS should take up around 3GB space. Another option, do cloud backup, hard reset, update OS while phone is naked, then hard reset again and restore from backup. Otherwise, upgrade to Lumia 650 with 16GB internal memory. This post has been edited by dgboy: Jun 14 2017, 10:07 PM

Hi, you didn't specify which Lumiz 6xx you have. I presume it's the L640 or older model? I'd a similar situation before. No matter how many apps or files you removed, it still says insufficient memory/space. The only way around this is to do a hard-reset and then upgrade direct to Win10. Win10 can still install onto a factory-reset condition L640.

Thanks for the tip man. I might take a look at the office apps I don't need and delete them. The cloud backup/hard reset option sounds kind of tedious to me, I'm not really a tech-whiz and I am afraid I might screw up somewhere and end up losing contacts etc. But it does sound like a viable option and I will read about it to find out more. Actually I'm thinking of upgrading to the 950 XL? Any thoughts?

Oh well, I'll probably dedicate some time over a weekend to do this and hope I don't lose any crucial information. Thanks!

The backup and restore of apps and settings is reliable in my experience, just force a backup before you hard reset and make sure all files you want to keep are on your sd card or backed up elsewhere.
