I called Mobile Technic and they say that it might take 2-3 months!

Anyone know where I can get one in KL/Selangor.

Just as a continuation of my Lumia 640 XL's battery performance which seems to have deteriorated quite drastically over the last couple of weeks; I'm just curious if any of you are facing the same thing or faced the same thing before?

Ever since I bought mine in October 2015, I've had really good battery performance on a single charge, usually lasting at least 2 days before I need another charge - this is based on regular use of course. I'm not a heavy user I guess, I don't play any games, just the usual whatsapp replies, pinterest app usage, instagram and searches on microsoft edge.

But over the last couple of weeks, its performance has deteriorated quite badly, I first noticed that on a single charge it would last only a day and a few hours. Now, on a single charge it lasts only 20 hours and a few minutes. This is from the battery saver info.

I used to charge my phone till 100% before I sleep and with no usage overnight, usually when I wake up and check my phone, the battery would only drop maybe 4%-6% so I'd still have about 96% to 94% of battery life for the next day. But now it drops like over 20% sometimes so my battery life is at like 80% give or take.

I did actually download a couple of games about 3 weeks ago to test them out and I thought maybe the constant updates and messages I was receiving on the games was using up my battery. Since I didn't really play them much after a week, I deleted the two games but my battery issues still persisted.

I know it's almost been a year since I bought the phone and battery issues like these are normal after this length of usage but for it to drop so drastically...does it happen?

I upgraded to Windows 10 sometime back and I am on build 10.0.10586.494.

I called Mobile Technic at Amcorp and they said getting a battery would take at least 2-3 months which is a bit of a wait. However with no other re-sellers and the only other option being Ebay, I might have to just order one from Mobile Technic, unless its a software issue which can be resolved.

Battery performance today seems like it is back to normal after the update.

Panorama mode on camera you mean? If that's what you mean then no, I could not find a panorama mode on the camera features.

I did notice some layout changes and as far as I can tell, the sound when I double tap to sleep sounds a bit different, same as the old sound but somewhat muffled?

Anyone notice any other changes with your 640/XL?

I tried to update it via the store but it says already downloaded. There didn't seem to be an update option. And my camera still has only the video and photo options.

Do any of you notice any difference in terms of charging speed and battery life/longevity when you charge with the actual charger at the wall socket VS charging USB either on a computer or with a powerbank?

I'm not sure what might be causing it but have you tried turning your phone off and on again?

If it's a software issue, you might have to send it in to Mobile Technic for repairs perhaps?

I think might have to send in to get it checked. I cannot recall any setting options that causes the screen to go black when in a call.

Mobile Technic is Microsoft's official service centre; you might want to drop by or call first?

Mobile Technic has rather good customer service.

I had issues with my LCD three months into using the phone; I called them and they said I had to put an order on the part to confirm I want it changed. I waited about 3 weeks before the part arrived, this was in January this year.

I went to their Ampang Park service centre to get my LCD replaced while still under warranty and as is normal at service centres - the queue can be a bit long if you come during lunch hour or if you come late. But I went in the morning and waited about 10 minutes before they served me.

I left my phone there and picked it up after lunch.

Sorry, I meant to say Amcorp Mall service centre NOT Ampang Park, my mistake.
