Currently the socket already relocate to foglamp switch <-my gaga dun have one
Dont want to mess with the cupholder area<-it belongs to my canned drinks/ashtray  tongue.gif

Is it ok using extension. Would there any occurence of "overload" ??
Route the wire straight from batteries? Can it pose any danger?  shocking.gif
Plan to add on/off switch....so my cabin light not glowing from day till nite  biggrin.gif

Still not dare to tap any electrical wire....this will be my first electric/electronic diy  sweat.gif
*
Hi agin, Bro... notworthy.gif

Re "overload?"... As long as total current consumption does NOT exceed amperage value of ori socket fuse, there shld b no danger... icon_rolleyes.gif

As for Bro Wankel's wankel idea, same same...with a fuse inline, there's practically no danger as long as it fulfills basic rule ie consumption does not exceed fuse value...
And, of course...wiring used supports total amps... tongue.gif

With good help, yu can even use an ori Proton Ignition Timer...& set up a circuit so that the lamp(s)/LEDs are on ONLY when door(s) are open & wld auto off few secs after door(s) are closed... thumbup.gif

GOOD luck !! cheers.gif

If replace normal spark plug to Iridium Spark plug, does it make different in terms of performance?

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Hv been using 1 set of such SPs fr week 1 of my Gaga. .. tongue.gif
IMO no performance gain.. icon_rolleyes.gif
More of Q, reliability & long term use and thus gaining confidence & peace of mind... cheers.gif

QUOTE(wankel @ May 26 2015, 03:18 PM)
Another tyre question for anybody.
My wheels are stock number 14 alloys and I think it to be a good size for Daisy, she came stock with 185/60-14 black rubber boots shod upon her wheels and I think it's a fairly good choice, but I'm curious if anybody is running 175/65-14 on their Saga and what their views are?
..... I'm happy enough with the 185 size to stick with it unless there's a compelling reason.
Happily for me the extreme wear my Ducaro's suffered in their first 1000 km....... but remain certain not to buy them again despite them driving very nicely.
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Understand reasons for yr pref for 175/65R14 donuts, namely comfort & FC...
But...with higher aspect ratio, wldn't there b possible contact with wheel arches etc ? tongue.gif

Anyway Ducaros r not available here except (it seems...) only as OEM fittings @factory... rclxub.gif
Replacement is Duraplus...which IMO are good enuf for "unker-driving" usage. thumbup.gif

My Question....
Why r u so certain NOT 2buy Ducaros agin?
They served me ok until my recent changeover to Durapluses...
Wld hv got Ducaros if they had been available! icon_rolleyes.gif

ps. Now GY Assurance Duraplus is available...with the much touted xtra Dupont Kevlar layer!! whistling.gif

*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Let's push aside that 100k Km w/in that set time factor thingy...a definitely IMPOSSIBLE feat by we "unker-drivers"... cry.gif

More concerned abt juz 2 aspects...
1. Roadholding...izzit same/better/worse than std Duraplus?
2. Does the xtra DuPont Kevlar ("bulletproof"??) layer offer good/better protection (as claimed by GY) against Msian road hazards?

Bro kenjilew?
Anyone?

That's great info...
....but in this part of the world even checking the oil level dipstick is considered way too technical and difficult for many, even pulling the bonnet release is an affront to their dignity.
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Why is that so...one may ask?

Here?
Cos of cheap labour...

In UK, DIY car/home maintenance had been/was a common interest & activity years ago...even when me juz started working...
Many mthly mags were available with lots of help... rolleyes.gif

However, now with increasing labour charges & coupled with (soon rising) GST implementation...mayb...jyz mayb ppl wld pick up need 2DIY where possible...2save expenses. .. whistling.gif

Agreed with wat's happening Down Under...affluency...legality...etc...in spite of high costs... icon_rolleyes.gif

Here in Msia...
A commonly heard comment/response...as in doing an EO replacement service...
"Why do it myself? Need 2buy tools..reli dun kno how...scared if DIY may damage this or that...etc etc.. rclxub.gif
Send to under tree magician only RM5 labour nia...cheap cheap...fast fast...all done!" whistling.gif

Hey guys, have 1.3 saga flx and i wanna paint the bottom bumper on the back black, I was quoted 100 bucks to stick it black is this price normal?
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Simple solution. ..
1. Juz get a spray can of Black paint..preferably Matte Black..
2. Mask the surrounding area 2prevent overspray..
3. Spray a few (3?) coats with abt 15 mins drying time inbtwin coats..
DONE!

And for less than RM10... rolleyes.gif

Best wishes & Happy DIY-ing! cheers.gif

Alright, first initiative to pimp ride but didn't know it cost quite a bit ahaha. I'll try see if I can use the spray method, not the best at spraying even layers of paint.
*
Hi agin, Bro... notworthy.gif

To DIY spraying. ...
1. Mask WELL other areas yu r not spraying. ..take time 2pay attention esp to "border"areas..masking tape is cheap!
2. Shake spray can well. Test spray b4 start.
3. Spray THINly...nvr try 2cover all in 1 spray...
Many thin coats are much better than 1 thick coat (paint wld "run" if sprayed too thick!)

DIY-ing gives THAT kind of personal satisfaction/feeling which $$$ can nvr buy... wub.gif thumbup.gif

Enjoy... icon_rolleyes.gif

ps. Wat yu r thinking of doing is an easy DIY...worth trying lo... cheers.gif

Yaaass that's what I'm looking to achieve, looks gooood. Yup feel like DIY this will be better more feel haha. How many layers did you do? Got coating other than the paint? And can see what spray paint you use? Hehe
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Normally 3 thin coats enuf...ensure drying after each coat...most important not 2spray thick coats cos paint wld "run" resulting in bad finish!
Other general rules of spray can painting apply...tongue.gif

Type of spray paint?
Any branded matte/flat black paint is good enuf.

Hi agin, Bro... notworthy.gif
