Another example of tempered glass saving the day.
Tempered glass cost less than RM 50
Screen replacement on the other hand probably cost more than RM 500

QUOTE(vassilius @ Mar 31 2015, 02:51 PM) first step, download and install the Fastboot and ADB tool first. It will enable you to flash files into your device. I use this: M11 modem file? is it the same as ColorOS 09/18/14: from this link https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712473371Minimal ADB and Fastboot: http://minimal-adb-and-fastboot.software.i...r.com/download/ second step, download the M11 modem file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-on...ection-t2858734 select and download the ColorOS modem file. third step, boot your device into fastboot mode. Follow this site: http://www.androidexplained.com/boot-onepl...-fastboot-mode/ Plug your device into your laptop or workstation after it is in Fastboot mode. fourth step, copy the M11 modem file into the Minimal ADB and Fastboot program file folder. By default its this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot finally, open command prompt and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot. follow this command: 1) fastboot devices (this is to check whether your device is connected to your workstation or not. If it is connected, you will see some random codes of characters and numbers followed by fastboot.) 2) fastboot flash modem <name of modem file>.bin (It will show OK and finished with total time once its done) 3) fastboot reboot. (Your device will now normal reboot.) That's about it. QC your device to determine if the signal strength issue resolved. |

ColorOS-0918-modem-flashable.zip since it's flashable, why not you just flash in recovery? why go through fastboot? |

QUOTE(azerak @ Apr 1 2015, 07:28 PM) As of now it's still not true yet.Read that article. It's not even facts. Just speculation. Maxis made no such announcement. Do a Google search on Maxis oneplus Malaysia and that site is the only one that pops out. Usually of official announcement. Maxis or oneplus will announce in their fb blog or social media first. Then other news Portal will publish. This unknown Malay site looks more like click bait. |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Apr 1 2015, 07:58 PM) Amanz.my I would say is one of the most visited tech site in Malaysia (in Bahasa MY) Oic, I never read any Malay tech site. Didn't know they are famous. Edit. They often got upper hand of local leak. Anyhow, speculation and rumours are not true until proven otherwise by the actual person involved. For any tech site I follow, if got word like rumour and leak, then I will straight skip cos waste time only. I only interested in actual things that happened or official announcement. |

QUOTE(requad @ Apr 2 2015, 01:46 PM) Still the same after clear dalvik cache. Go claim whatever warranty you have. It's hardware peoblem. i noticed it only happened when the phone is heated up. Especially when i use the phone under the sunlight or keep my phone in the pocket. The touch screen will become not responsive and goes haywire. I have to turned off my off for 2 minutes and let it cool off a lil before i can start using the phone again. i still cannot relate how can the heat cause the grounding issue for my OPO touch screen. Any idea ? |

QUOTE(requad @ Apr 2 2015, 02:45 PM) Anyone bought their unit from DirectD here and suffered the same grounding issue for touch panel ? Just go to directd and show them the defective unit.i doubt they goin to fix this for me, worst case is to replace another OPO with exactly the same issue. i found this thread from OPO forum about fixing the grounding issue OPO Grounding issue fix and then tell us how the respond to your problem. i trust we are all curious on directd performance in handling repairs for oneplus |

QUOTE(jeffreyp @ Apr 2 2015, 10:53 PM) i just got oneplus one before 1st April at DirectD, 64gb version You can backup stock kernel using rom tool box app. this is my review at the first night, i flash fully to 44s clean, then flash m11 modem....but today was unhappy coz signal, even at home it was around 100DB, i flash 44s modem, now 85DB, will let u guys know whether which is better i am checkin on kernel, where i can find stock kernel, i wanted test AK or Fransco kernel but i wan a copy of stock kernel just in case, please share link... so far battery life way better than my htc one m7, getting used to single hand typing , the screen is too big, main complain so far now is the signal...some interface like, dialer and also the lack of app drawer inside menu, camera and gallery interface because of one hand typing, the back button on hardware is far right, so i use the software version, it is ok with me, typing, have to use swiftkey with some compact version as when i typing with one hand and reach far right keys like l, my palm touch other keys ..so have to get use to flow/swype i using direct temper glass and cover, temper glass they stick on , not back skill but on top very suck, they say can come back replace them again if not stick proper, tomorrow i will go again, I dun recommend Franco kernel. It saves battery but at the cost of performance. Scrolling will have abit lag. Franco kernel for cm11s v33-v35 also like that. Battery life can get 5-6 hour Sot. Franco can exceed 6. For me more than 5 already very sufficient. So I just use stock. |
