hatred for a corporation is often misguided.
some people hate samsung and apple very very much as if they murder their parents.
I've used samsung and apple products and they are in fact pretty good. certainly not as bad as some extremist like to say

the alternative for official update if you dont like cm is oxygenOS. as much as i hope to support it, it really sucks.

i do not like cm management, but their product is undeniably good.
cm11s is the most stable rom available currently since i bought till currently no issues at all. (never have to go xda or google for problems that shouldn't exist anyways, never bother about chasing new version, backup and restore etc)

oxygenOS is on par in stability but it is miles behind in features.
end of the day consumer will just use what's best for them

I duno what's there to consider.
Opo win miles and miles ahead in battery life

latest oxygen os is consider 99% stock already.
use the on screen keys instead of capacitive keys.
dont use any of the off screen gesture
dont customize the quick toggles

and you get 100% same nexus experience as the nexus 5.
except with a better camera and battery life

duno...last time cm and oneplus quarrel due to india issue, cm duwan to release cm11s or any future ota in india, even ban oneplus sales.

but now everything seems to settle, india people will get ota to cm12 and oneplus still selling in india.

when they quarrel make headlines, now suddenly ok back no one bother to care, damage already done.

when play service update, it always have some wakelock for few hours. no idea why
when you reboot the wake lock will stop, but after awhile it will awake again.
just let it awake and do the thing it wana do. when it's done the wake lock will stop.
dont have to do any fix or mods.

my play service running normal, i use google now and all google sync service. no wakelock at all.
just chill.

many thread in xda and opo forum complain about play service, and suggest many weird things to solve it.
but my own idea (not proven in any way other than my own experience), is just let it be. it will stop by itself.

i never do any funny things to stop play service. every time play service update itself, i sure get few hours wake lock. but within a day or two the wakelock stop itself. true story.

Battery life worst because the auto brightness is set to very high compared to cm11s. Manually set to lower and u get better battery
