I just noticed this charge in my last bill.
When I called Maxis service line they said this is the data charges when you click on SMS sent from the 5digit number. When something opens via the browser they charge you separately and not from your Data plan.

I disagreed that I would pay for it since I never agreed to allow Maxis to subscribe me to a 3rd-party paid service - especially for data when I am already paying Maxis for data. The service desk guy said he would block the Zepto 32266 number, but warned me no to click the SMS links as it doesn't use Maxis data.

I'm just wondering why Maxis allows these kind of spam with hidden costs (which is obviously a Maxis partner since Maxis is so helpfully billing it's customers on the partners behalf)

Same goes to Digi, was charged RM 4 per sms received via a company named m edge s/b. Tried the SKMM way of opting out from the sms instead.

I scolded them on Customer Care 123, and they refunded all this two transactions for me.

Remember, you have to scold them to have them to refund you your hard earned money!

They are theft, steal money from our account.
