Wooo~ It is I the TS, and I have returned!

It's nice to see that we have a burgeoning VW beetle community now.

Which brings me to my poor old '66 which has been neglected for 4 months with my being in Amerikaland.

Anyone know a good body works person? My beetle desperately needs new rubber seals for the windscreen/windows and insulation and air ducting for the engine bay (because the last person to work on my beetle didn't really do a fantastic job)

i have some 2nd hand rubbers.if u do wana have a look let me know.and i might be going to bangkok on january.u must know that most rubbers imported from U.S are actually made in thailand.so if u need a hand just let me know.i'm bringing an empty lugguage there hehehehe...u know what i mean?

lolol, I'm now in the US trying to finish my degree (another year and a half to go =.=) Will be back KL for summer holz only in May-June '09, so need to start sourcing stuff and getting my parents to slowly fix it up so that by the time I come back it'll be in pristine running order =x

huwa huwa huwa huwa.. all can play import stuff..me cannot..i only can get import stuff from those parts that my buddy no longer using it or he got extra..some will get FOC..some extra parts got to pay.. i wish i have the cash to get some performace stuff also.. dropped spindle.. disc brake and twin carb

what kinda twin carb u wana get?
twin progressive?twin IDA?or twin normal?

i also not sure which model..i got to refer to my fren and ask..y askar??you got jalan??

i wanted to buy twin IDA.but it costs about 1k plus...
no money la...and i havent learn how to tune twin carb.don't wana learn to fly while still learning to drive...i will tune single carb and absorb as much input as i could first...the current 1.2cc engine in my car now will be the best experiment for me.hehehe

no one lettting go any twin carb to me lar..i'm asking u..u got jalan or not lar..cause i want to refer to my fren which model is the best for me..and i think is twin progressive lor..

u got so many engine to play with huh??1.2..1.3..and 1.6...u dun scare u change there and here later u unlucky kena block..tat time really susah lor..but touch wood lar for sure..

go for twin IDA.i think it will produce best performance.as each petrol inlet was controlled by a single carburetor petrol inflow and also air flow.

twin progressive i believe it's great too,but it's single carburetor to dual petrol inlet.

u use 1.2 on 1.6 gearbox??won't that will be underpower for your car already??or u change the greabox together also??

nope...1.6 gearbox.yeap abit underpower.
but as i said,i felt 1.2 is quite powerful as well and i've made it to 90kmh max speed on the 1.2 so far.

90kmh??in mph is around??60 rite??i use to have a 1.2 before..can hit up to 70mph max..with 1.2 gearbox lar..then now 1.3 can hit around 80mph max..and also with 1.3 gearbox..wanna get my 1.6

not sure wat's wrong with the engine wor..tuning could be the biggest problem lor..cause my fren's volks..been ride hardly by those indon ppl before he get it..also can run around 80mph with 1.6 engine and gearbox wor..where u usually send ur car for servicing wan??

yala! between 60~70mph lah ,confirm no more than 70mph maybe switch off aircon can up to 75mph lah
but now if the speed too fast i can't tahan d ,may be i'm old

but seriously..1.6 should be able to go higher speed wor..i swap engine with u lar.. u usually let who fix ur car??
