QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Feb 12 2015, 11:33 AM) with the current squad, wenger can afford to lose him for 4 weeks la....touch wood. Ramsey current role is as CM and lost him for a month. We already lost Arteta (can play both CM and DM), Diaby (can count as non-existance), and Wilshere (not fit).Theo and Sanchez aren't CM. Ozil's defensive discipline to track back more often for entire 90minutes is doubtful. Santi and Rosicky are perhaps the two left fit, with Rosicky is the better balanced offensive and defensive, but Santi's "on fire mode" are the best and exciting to watch than all other CMs (Arteta, Ramsey, Diaby, Wilshere, Rosicky).mesut, theo, coq, santi, alexis ok mah Another option is to play with DM's double pivot - Flamini and Coquelin, if Santi and Rosicky need rest. But that also mean to suffer creativity from our centre area. |

Monreal on the other hand, after having him play at CB and coming back to LB he became more steady and isn't too bad as well, only problem for him is pacey wingers. Otherwise he improved a lot IMHO. Not quite sure what Gabriel's capabilities are yet although he's very versatile. Can't wait to see him play! |

Who to replace Ramsey?
The best bet is Wilshere right now. Though he needs to stop his marauding dribbling up the field and losing possession. He needs to just pass it along and run. On Walcott, he is either just coming back into fitness or he has hit a brick wall in his development. He needs to be available throughout a game, rather than popping up to score a goal and then vanishing again. This is a football match! Not a magic trick. Even Ozil is improving by being involve more throughout a game.(Though people will say that his return of a goal a game is good, he needs to do more) I really want Walcott to succeed, but his time is running short. He needs to deliver or be shipped out. Don't regress and become Aaron Lennon. He is the closest that I can see to becoming someone like Henry. A very dangerous player that can score and grab a match by its neck to win it. For Ramsey, there is an underlying problem to his injuries now. The medical team needs to diagnose and treat it ASAP so that he can get back to his last season form. Don't let him become like Rosicky. Anyway, all of the above is just my humble opinion. |
