Last time i use otterbox for samsung S3.
First batch was delayed then got defects.
After awhile the tpu case will not conform to the phone (at the all edges).
So i boiled n freeze the tpu case as per youtube instructions.
After weeks, the problem appeared agai.
The usb n earphone caps were easily torn off.
I took pics n send to otterbox, they replaced it for free.

So no more otterbox

Japan is probably the hardest country in the world to buy iPhone cases, because there's simply too much choice. tongue.gif

As for the Japanese brands that are popular overseas, I believe Power Support is the most frequently mentioned. Then you have the expensive Gramas cases and their more normal priced Helium line. I currently use a case by AndMesh.

Oh, if you're feeling super rich there's always http://www.squair.me/ whistling.gif

Posted about it here, here and here.

TL;DR
- Dust will obviously get through the holes, but the case is easily removed for cleaning.
- Lets heat escape, which is (imho) good for battery health since heat is the battery's biggest enemy.
- Headphone jack is a bit small, so take note if you use headphones with big plugs.
- Button presses/tactility is very good.
- Doesn't offer much in the way of screen lip protection. The top and bottom part are slightly raised, but the sides are flush.

Yodobashi is tech heaven. I'm a bit of a headphone nut and the last time I went there I just wanted to set up camp at the headphone section, lol.

I hate flip/book style cases as well. The Helium line also has one or two models that are regular leather cases - similar to the Apple cases but with the bottom part also covered. Actually, they have a lot more models out than what their site shows. Go back to the website link I posted and click the link for store locations and find a couple to visit if your plans allow. I'm sure you'll find tons more brands at the listed stores, as well as the rest of Akiba or Shinjuku.

Sure is tech heaven biggrin.gif im currently studying here in fukuoka so i can visit yodobashi anytime if i wanted to smile.gif
speaking of headphones, when i signed up with softbank they gave me a 10800 yen voucher and also 5% points of the phone price as credit, so i just use the voucher and the credit plus my leftover credits from yodobashi point card to buy 1 audio technica m50x smile.gif in the end the ip6+ 128gb i got only cost me bout rm2500.

I think i'll head back to yodobashi next friday to check out their casings since its already near to closing time when i finished signing up everything for my plan last night, didnt really get the chance to browse through all their casings laugh.gif
