I heard Geoservices payscale are lower compare to its parent Co SLB, well I might be wrong.

I'm not really good in this oilfield services pertaining to drilling, but for facilities construction & fabrication, boleh jawab sikit-sikit.

if u are comparing the pay scale under SLB, yes they are among the lowest. Biasalah, no downhole tool.. contract kecik.. gaji pun ciput. But if u want to learn about operations, ML is the best place. I'm interested in joining completion team. anybody from completion here?

You mean data plan from digi or maxis like that? If that's so, it won't do any help because we are approximately 200 km from the land. I hope I misunderstood what you meant by data plan.

Nope. That is our competitor. My company is the red one. Start with letter D. But I always heard bad stuff about Geoservices. Still don't know why.

Hi everyone, any planning engineer here?  what is the career path once becoming a planning engineer?
*
got 2 options:
1. Just input information from others, do reporting. After a few years, become senior and maybe guide others
2. Learn from all the input you get (a very good opportunity), learn what makes or breaks a project and take in points, take more responsibilities in advising whats the best plan to execute the job, learn new things (costing, procurement, management, various engineering disciplines) etc

Option 2 would give you a shot at becoming Project Managers/Directors (I've met some from client side who were ex planning eng).
Easier said than done. You must be ready to do your homework after working hours.

Yes geoservice is part of SLB company. In term of pay scale it depends on what they do. Those kuli very poor thing. They dont get paid for thier time off rotation. Dont know about thier other staff pay scale.

Food wise is pretty good. Get to eat steak, salmon and ice cream.

They are the first that do exploration doing the siesmic with a support vessel pulling multiple sensors and air pressured gun to generate signal. If i am not mistaken they also do the refinement of singnal processing for the logs.

If you read this thread from V1 until V6, you can find some hints to your question. Maafkan saya.

Hiring is bad nowadays.
