looks like my place intern is still lucky with 1k+ allowance, there is plan to revise it. me last time no allowance at all, plus use own petrol money to be mail boy for boss. my advise to intern under me normally, be proactive and use your brain. don't expect ppl spoonfeed everything.

(^__^)

well, I wasn't expecting anything on the allowance part. Very grateful they even consider taking me in rclxms.gif

Trying to get involve in as much project as possible to gain experiences.

However, this internship is required by the university. I am planning to do another round of intern next year but most of the company require some kind of verification letter from the university. I was wondering if they would take me in next year (with experiences in Technip) even if I am to apply without any verification letter. hmm.gif

I suggest you join Veolia, Nalco, MECAS, GE-Betz, Kurita, CCM, See Sen Chemicals. Dont waste your experience. Join those vendor I had mention. Trust me you will be seen valuable later on. I have friend who work in Nalco last time and now he with Saudi Aramco specialized in effluent treatment for O&G industry.

I have no idea about their working environment but PECO Facet product is widely used in downstream O&G plant.

Hi guys,

I'm graduating in June with degree in Mechatronics Eng. Looking to enter industry for a position with mix of IT/Software + Engineering. Had 4/5 years experience in developing custom IT/Software solutions for enterprise clients.

I was told SIS is a good place to start for this kind of position. Any advice? Thanks.

Dear Mohammad Yakup,

We’re now firmly into the first quarter of 2015 and the demand remains fairly solid for QSs, Cost, Contracts & Commercial specialists across the MENA region. With low Oil prices at the front of everyone’s minds in the MENA region, there has inevitably been some rethinking of medium to long term requirements for staff as some of the major projects in the region have been slowed down. But, in the immediate future where developers are committed to schemes, commercial skills remain in reasonably short supply and demand is strong for well qualified professionals across all sectors including building & construction, civils & infrastructure and the Oil & Gas and Power markets.

To this end please find below a short list of our most critical vacancies below which we are working with clients on to identify people.

Contracts Manager - Dubai

Contracts Manager - Highways - Qatar

Commercial Manager - Rail - Qatar

Contracts Manager - Oil & Gas Projects - Oman

Contracts Manager - PM Consultancy - Jeddah

Senior Commercial Manager - Education Projects - Riyadh

Senior Contracts Administrator - EPC Contractor - Kuwait

Lead Contracts Administrator - Consultancy - Oil & Gas

Senior QS - PMC - Qatar

Senior QS - Consultancy - Kuwait

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Consultancy - Jeddah

Senior Quantity Surveyor - PFI Hospital - Canada

If you’re interested in any of the above positions, please apply directly through the website or forward me your CV quoting the vacancy reference in the subject header.

As always we endeavour to respond to candidates on an individual basis but given the overwhelming volume of applicants we do receive, please regard you application as unsuccessful in the first round if you have not heard form us within 7 days.

Many thanks and best regards

Nicola
