HONG KONG (June 5): Hong Kong's securities regulator said on Friday it will propose laws boosting cooperation with its foreign counterparts, at a time when the emergence of a number of cross-border fraud and corruption scandals make such collaboration vital.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) said the new laws would make it easier to provide assistance to overseas peers by giving it powers to obtain records and documents from licensed companies at the request of those foreign regulators.

"The proposals will enable the SFC to adhere more closely to international regulatory standards and allow for more effective supervision of licensed corporations which operate in multiple jurisdictions," said Ashley Alder, the SFC's chief executive.

The issue of cross-border collaboration between regulators is in the spotlight following several global financial scandals this year.

Since I do not have landline, all these while I have been surfing Net using mobile networks.
Recently, I have been having difficult accessing several websites, including Bursa Malaysia's official site and The Star Online.
Have tried Celcom, Digi, U Mobile, all the same.

Anyone having similar problem?

The funny thing is: no problem accessing LYN, even Youtube is ok

Lyn forum is very low data needed...even my maxis hit quota oso can surf very fast like no throttle down....

Try maxis la bro...pretty reliable almost all area i go got internet signal...

Though expensive a bit but u pay for the reliability

But if I open web browser on my mobile phone, I can surf Web without problem. Only on PC certain sites are super slow or can't load at all.
