Just go and register your Maxis fibre and they will do it. Better be quick otherwise all port taken.

Hi there , anyone having any issue or had such experience with the maxis home fibre internet speed became slow as in I am using 100mbps but i am only getting 5mbps-10mbps during 8pm-1am time slot? and the ping/latency shoot up from the normal 7ms to 88-92ms (when using the speedtest connecting to the nearby server) and even in game (malaysia server) from normal 16-20ms to 200ms..did called maxis and they came and they said no issue..and they have no idea what is wrong and just closed the ticket..did complained like 5 times..and the cycles continues.Appreciate for any comments and helps.. thank you

my taman unifi port opened on 24/1/2022.

the same day i tried to apply maxis through agent, agent replied with maxis screenshot stated PORT IS FULL.

obviously, unifi registration still coming in as i was in the taman whatsapp group.

i am suspecting unifi hogging all the port until certain date only they will allow maxis coming in.

My friend helped me to register for installation on next Saturday (19th Feb) and the registration was done on 21st Jan, is it normal that until now I still haven't received any call from Maxis? No call to confirm about my registration.

Also, I will be using my own router - Asus TUF AX3000, any settings I can do beforehand? Once the technician leaves then I will change to my own router. I don't think they can help to set up on my router right?

Anyone got delay problem with phone call on Maxis fiber? I got delay which make the call unusable.. Like 5 secs delay.. Finish 1 sentence, than can start hear on other side.. Anyone got this problem?

Well, what I can tell you is, MAXIS customer technical support they just follow the book and script. I did also try out to ask before they know nothing well sadly said and early known, just trying my luck.
My parents know to use HP. Just they still want to use landline as you know our Malaysia TELCO how good it is. When go in house all phone signal cut. Coverage is very bad. So sometimes might need to use landline to reach out....Long story...

If you asking me, for sure I no need landline...just specially for them

On February 23, I switched to Maxis Fiber 300Mbps Plan, Pricing are RM149+6%=RM157.94.
TM UNIFI User to Maxis Fiber will get 6 Months Free,
But Today I get Maxis bill by Normal POS to my house, said I need to pay RM5.25.
Here got any user same as my situation ?

Currently using UNIFI 30mbps (non-fibre) with monthly charges RM 89.

Subscribe to Maxis fibre (switch over from TM) in Jan 2022 through maxis center,PIC told me there are rebate of RM20 for 6 months or a year (can't remember exactly).

After that, ding dong between maxis & tm on the home location and the fibre availability in my area. In march, TM finally upgrade my home building with fibre infra, and Maxis has informed me that fibre port are full yesterday LOL .

Today received the call from Maxis to arrange installation on this friday as there is last port available but ask to install maxis first, then only proceed to TM to terminate (Guess i was treated as new customer?)

I also questioned on the rebate given by Maxis centre through 123 back in January, was told that rebate is over already. Wonder is it still worth to proceed on the maxis installation as no rebate / promotion given ? I have no issue with UNIFI tho, but was aiming for rebate xD

Maxis do come with voip land line but they give you DECT phone only if you take RM10/month unlimited call. You can just connect any wired/cordless phone if wanna use the phone line.

If using wifi? For example one router on first floor and another on second floor, without any cable connection in between them? Is that possible?

Guys, finally I have installed Maxis Fibre 300 Mbps.
So far so good.

And the most important part, I am kinda impressed with the Kaonmedia AR2140 router.
Quite powerful weh.
Signal more stable than my TP Link AX50.
The only part I hate is the UI settings, so messy and cumbersome.
And also it have all the settings to properly support my Unlocator DNS with static routing etc.
So no issues with my Chromecast and Paramount+, Disney+ US and Peacock have been streaming flawlessly day and night.
Which is surprising where my sister's house using Unifi having issues streaming it at night only using same DNS service.

Actually that Guest WiFi is there but you need to login to MaxARSysOpr, then you can see everything.
Plus I compare with my AX50, it seems more stable but have to turn off Band Steering.
That feature just ruins the network stability and signal.

But overall I like the router.
So not feeling to change the router for the first time.

It seems they hide many options inside the router via MaxARSysOpr system.
So need to access that part, then you can do anything to your router.
I have set everything inside my Kaon router from static routing, parental time block, my own DNS, turn off Band Steering etc.
Someone already give the steps 👆.
