FIFA 15 is an upcoming sports association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. It has been announced for release on 23 September 2014 in North America, September 25 in Europe and September 26 in the United Kingdom for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, IOS and Android. It is expected that FIFA 15 will be free for IOS and Android. On PC, FIFA 15 runs on EA’s Ignite engine and boast the same features as the PS4 and Xbox One editions. It also marks the first time the PlayStation 2 has been excluded from the FIFA lineup since FIFA 2000 (released for PlayStation, Microsoft Windows and Game Boy Color). A demo for the EA Sports title FIFA 15 was released on September 9, 2014, three new teams - Chelsea F.C., Liverpool F.C. and S.S.C. Napoli - have been added to the demo, joining Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Boca Juniors and Paris Saint Germain.

I've played around 6 games of the DEMO including the opening Liverpool vs City game, which was nice touch to showcase the ambiance of a title decider type match. I'm not a Liverpool fan so it did nothing for me personally. After one game, I just skipped it everytime I started the game.

I'll just break it down in Pros and Cons.

PROS:
1. Animations are improved and transitions look a lot cleaner compared to the snappy movements on Impact Engine.
2. Ball physics is tweaked, the ball feels a bit heavier and a bit more consistent in terms of its weight in different situations like crossing and shooting.
3. Cutscenes and replays are improved, EA has done great with the presentation side of the game. Some added commentary as well but this part is down to preference.
4. EA has made good use of licenses with EPL TV popups and real referees added, I noticed Chris Foy in the Liv vs City game.
5. Game transitions a lot better now in between cutscene in terms of the out of play aspect. For example, when the ball goes out, there's a ball-boy/steward that throws it back in for goal kicks and throw ins instead of the player chasing it all the time.
6. The physicality of the game is much better, shielding is a lot more useful now and you can intentionally foul players easily when you want to.
7. Loving the realtime corner tactics.
8. Player inertia and footplanting is more prominent, some players slipped a few times when turning. Might be able to emulate Stevie G's slip. biggrin.gif

CONs

1. It's still a relatively poor PC port of the next-gen game. Not much options apart from Low-Medium-High. It would've been nice to have the ability to tweak stuff like LOD and texture quality. Even Anisotropic filtering would've nice although it could be forced by GPU.
2. If you limit the game to 60 Fps, the cutscenes are capped at 30 frames so it would make the game's transition between gameplay and cutscenes a bit jerky. Make sure you use no Limit on FPS and enable V-sync or Adaptive V-Sync(NVIDIA) in your GPU control panel.
3. Goalkeepers are super human and when they do save it's always parried to the front, if this doesn't get fixed, we'll see a lot of "bola muntah" type goals.
4. Shooting is a bit weak and lacks proper trajectory and speed.
5. Referee is still annoying and doesn't get out of the way. biggrin.gif
6. Player height is all over the place. EA can't get the simple things like player height right. EA should stop using Wikipedia as reference.
7. This might be a preference type con, but the gameplay speed is a bit too fast, I think the best speed of the game is Slow.
8. Some player models look like they've been imported from Gears of Wars. Shoulders and chest area too big. Not noticeable much during gameplay but ruins the immersion in cutscenes.

Considering there's a price increase for FIFA 15 retail, I purchased the pre-order key digitally from other countries. Guess which? tongue.gif

Safe to say that most in here are PC users I think, apart from game impressions I think the Consoles Couch section will help you better.

I need some help here. Previously I install fifa 15 demo on my pc. At that time, I'm still using an old graphic card which is not support dirext11. Recently just replace it with radeon HD 7850 and the game still lagging. It feels like an old graphic card. According to system.requirement, it's exceed minimum requirement already. I don't know what went wrong. Whether it was windows, graphic card or processor. Currently use FX 8350, 8 gb ddr3 ram.

Any solution? Just now what croo in my mind,  install new windows, reinstall game and any other solution which is possible. Another thing I notice was my cpu temperature reach 65 Celsius when running fifa 15. After replace new GC, I also can't run fifa 14. Got error 0001 if I not mistake.
*
How badly is it lagging? I think minor stutters are a common issue for this demo regardless of the hardware you have, as the drivers from both AMD and NVIDIA haven't been released with optimized profiles. Its not really noticeable though. But in your case if it's lagging badly there might be a problem with another software hooking to Direct3D e.g - Rivatuner/MSI Afterburner or any On-screen Display tools. Fraps also causes issues IINM.

Guys

What are the difference between fifa ultimate team and the normal one?

Worth to get ultimate?
*
No difference, because any difference will be offset by the amount of cheaters using bots/trainers to generate FUT points. tongue.gif

Lagging kaw2. If you make a pass to striker, the monitor still showing at the middle of the pitch but ball is in penalty area already. How about cpu temperature? Is it become hot to run this game?Just now really can't decide to buy fifa 15 or not. A lot of headache just for football game. rclxub.gif

Need more details like OS, driver versions and what you're running in the background. Show a screenshot/video of the game running and the system tray(bottom right) expanded to reveal whatever you have in the background. Task manager process list would also be good. Just CTRL+ALT+DEL and take a printscr screenshot of the running processes.

Try to disable Antivirus and AMD evolution. I personally don't use AVs apart from Microsoft's own. I just make sure to have a strong firewall/net filter and disable autoplay scripts from removable drives.

My PC is an i5 2500k OC'ed to 4.5Ghz, Nvidia GTX 670 2GB, 16 GB DDR3 Ram. I only have Steam, Logitech Gaming Software, Rainmeter, MSI Afterburner(OSD disabled for FIFA 15 demo.exe), ASUS Xonar Audio Center and Intel Smart Connect. I'm on Windows 8.1 x64bit though.

My CPU tops up at 74% and averages around 68% usage once FIFA is in a match. GPU temps are very low at mid 55'c so I suspect the game isn't working it hard enough.

I've read reports that it runs smooth on old Phenom II's so I think there's something else eating up your CPU process. My guess is the Anti-virus software.

EDIT: My settings are maxed out at 1080p.

I suggest Mr Zakov to create a list. During weekdays, I only can play at night. Maybe from 10pm to 1am. Earlier than that is difficult because my pc will be conquered by my kid.
*
I'll try my best. But I think it's better if we have multiple people managing the members, and the last thread the member listing went up to almost triple figures and it was difficult to update and find members to add. I suggested a separate site last year for FIFA 14 LYN members but the idea didn't take off due to my lack of commitment and interest from the community here.

The Xbox One controller needs a USB cable to work for the PC no?
So far no news or indication that Microsoft is going to release a wireless receiver ala Xbox360.

create a google doc excel sheet and make it public so everyone can edit and add names into the list.

Actually tried it 2 years ago, but while it will work if you click on the spreadsheet link, I can't figure out how to embed in the OP. Plus people will still need to add one by one the members. I prefer a more elegant solution which is a possible with a separate portal.

Uhmm, that is pretty much like the same one our friend mentioned he bought in the post before.(cable+controller)

My point still stands, there's no wireless receiver. I'm used to having a wireless controller now which is why I mentioned it.

i agree, a better solution would be this, create a survey form using google doc, requesting information such as origin ID, when they play and stuffs, and also the interest to play in online tournament.

will create one when free.
*
I already made a site with google doc forms integration, there were some members that joined in, but it's just difficult to get a lot of people active at the same time. Check out :http://lynfootball.zakhov.com
It's pretty much on hiatus due to the fact that there was lack of community participation and my lack of interest in pushing the endeavor further.

I couldn't maintain the site or contribute content on my own. I did open up the table for people that were interested but I didn't pursue the matter further because I don't want to shove it down people's throats. From what I've seen most people are just content on playing FUT and the odd friendly games. There was a period when we gathered for VP Clubs but it didn't last long due to lack of active members. It was more active when we had a PES Lowyat community for PES2010-PES2011 IMO. I thought EA should've copied the PES Community mode features, it was very useful for creating leagues and tournaments.

Like krayzeejin said before, you add friends via Origin and they add you as well, but the lack of initiative taken means that there weren't a lot of activities. Add to the fact that people have different schedules and different playing times.

Someone need to organize a League or Tournament for LYN to capture their attention.

FUT league gonna be fun thou, but must apply certain rules to make it fair and square.

EA UK forum is quite active organizing league and tournament, we can follow their rules and such.
*
Agreed but I'm not sure Lowyat forums is suited/geared for hosting tournament formats/uploading files/embedding as it's mostly a multi-purpose discussion site. Probably need to setup a home base somewhere else which was the idea I had in mind. Instead of a portal which is difficult to maintain how bout a new forum geared for FIFA gaming?
If I use phpBB or a modified version of Invisionboard(what Lowyat is using now) to allow posting of tournaments/leagues it would work easier but will need a moderator to invigilate and enforce the rules set.

I'm used to building website/forums so it would be no issue but I'll need cooperation from the community to get it off the ground.

If Origin allows groups like STEAM this whole ID linking thing would be a hell lot easier.
