This is the Thestar report dated 1st March 2014 about 1MDB sells bonds to LTH and PNB, which was admitted by LTH 2 days ago but denied by PNB yesterday.

EPF also involved since 2009 but EPF says don't worry, Government guarantee. Eh.....? EPF also government owned, so government guarantee government ? QUOTE(Ramjade @ May 20 2015, 07:50 AM) Take it easy. I think now easier to buy.Give you some hints, the agent bank told me I am not the only "panic" seller ( for ASW,ASM,AS1M) Just look at Plumberly, easily bought RM5k This post has been edited by aeiou228: May 20 2015, 08:21 AM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 20 2015, 03:56 PM) I don't know about this practice and I don't have insider working for me. Instead I "buy" directly from unit holders and pay 1% premium to the "seller" last time. This is how I accumulate my units in ASX.I've shared how I "buy" in this thread before (the previous thread). |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ May 20 2015, 10:28 PM) surprisingly not many units available despite the panicky news... only managed 8k ASM at 9.30Am MBB. No AWS and AS1M. As will I am put it, one man's trash is another man's treasure. But we can see postings in this thread that more and more ppl were able to buy in thousands of unit.Tried again at CIMB during lunch break, totally none at all. If you want more A1SM units in one go, wait for my forum-exclusive timing for the remaining 10% release next month. QUOTE(guy3288 @ May 20 2015, 10:28 PM) I am surprised you can "buy direct" from unit holder and pay 1% premium some more!! You can't simple go the agent bank with the seller and do the OTC sell and buy transactions. Need some planing and strategy to do it.In actual fact what you bought may not be your seller's units at all. The lag time from the system is significant enough, that you really can't synchronise or time it. I have experienced that first hand on a day when CIMB banks were all down for quite a long period.., cant do any transaction at all.... and i was buying the ASX at MBB when i met a couple desperate to cash out some RM20k of their precious ASX. I talked to them and the tellers to synchronise the sale and my purchase......as we were at the counter side by side. I saw the lag time there, they already sold theirs, and my teller's repeated buy orders were just unsuccessful.......until quite some time later.... I got some RM10k or so then, but the way i see the repeated attempts keying in the buy order, i am not convinced those 10k units are even theirs......... Oh, now I recall, I shared it in FD thread instead back in 2013. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=62384985 Must travel to states working on Saturday or Sunday to do the "fund contra". Of course the amount involved has to be valuable enough to justify the trip. |

I thought good news coz PNB name was not mentioned?Wonder why did 1MXX have the cross default clause in there while they knew its serious and wide implications? Otherwise could not get the money? Another Malaysia Boleh Semua Boleh attitude? |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 19 2015, 08:39 PM) No time lag. The system has to be in real time. Cash withdrawal and cash deposit made are serious money matters, and transactions printed on passbook in real time, can not time lag.Time lag is an excuse for the counter staff to shuu you away. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jun 20 2015, 01:43 PM) No Time lag? Like I said before, I "bought" units from other unit holders and I had successfully done sell and buy "cashless contra" transactions several times from account A to account B in large amount and in real time.Actually the "time lag" thingy was mention by one our fellow forummer, not from counter staff.. but He didn't mention how long the time lag? edit: found it. Post #814 It wouldn't be possible to do "cash contra" at the bank's counter if there is such thing as time lag. Anyway, time lag or not, it doesn't really matters now. As more unit holders relinquish their holdings due to lower confidence factor towards gov linked funds and units are now more easily available compare to last time. |

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Aug 2 2015, 07:06 AM) Presently ASNB maintain the buy n sell price for its Fixed price Funds @ 1.00/unit I search left right center in the ASNB master prospectus for its Fixed price policy. I can't find any. Do you have any knowledge of it? I think the fixed price is not guaranteed (correct me if I'm wrong) but I can't find any b/w in the prospectus. Thus, there is no element of capital guarantee in ASx Another question, is there any fixed price fund converted to floating price fund in the history of ASNB before? |
