December 2, 2014 ordered and paid for Samsung 51", Series 5, Plasma Full HD TV, PS51F5500ARXXM. Fulfilled by Lazda Malaysia and not one of their affiliates.

Paid for delivery, even though they advertise free shipping. Was careful to check out courier companies they used. Skynet was not mentioned anywhere on their site, if I had known that they in fact do use (in my opinion) the worst courier company in Malaysia, I would not have ordered from them. Deceptive practice.

December 8, 2014. TV eventually arrived, Skynet offered many ecuses why delivery had been delayed. The fact was that somehow while this TV was in their custody they managed to place the unit into at least 200mm of water. They had been stalling delivery hoping that the box (never mind the TV inside) would dry out before attempting delivery. This was explained to me by manager of Skynet HQ who called why delay on delivery. This was only because I was following up on express delivery, I am guessing that if I hadn't followed up they would have let box dry out to their satisfaction.

As I had been waiting for TV, I asked them to deliver for my inspection as they said the box was wet. Upon arrival the box was more than just a bit wet. I must have been in a lot of water as the polystyrene packacing had pools of water in it and there was a tide mark on the screen at ~150mm. Quiet a bit more than a wet box.

While courier was here I called Lazada and they had already been informed by Skynet of the issue. Lazada told me that I would have to complete paperwork for a return even though I was not going to take custody and they had already been informed by their courier of issue.

I asked them to send a replacement unit straight away as they knew that they or their agent had wrecked an expensive TV. They assured me that they would be sending replacement unit immediately. This was a lie and the beginning of many that would follow.

This company has absolutely no idea how to treat customers, that they or their agent have wronged.

Many days of frustration followed as could not get straight answer out of Lazada. They promised call backs and emails, none occurred.

What Lazada did was wait till the TV was returned to them, initiated a lengthy investigation, even though their agent had confirmed the accident and I as end consumer had not taken custody.

The replacement eventually arrived ~2weeks after order. I immediately called the manager at Skynet HQ as this unit was also in a wet box. When I explained that it did not look like a new unit as the factory seals were broken upon delivery, they stated that Lazada had repacked the original TV that had been soaked. I called Lazada while the courier was here (very patient man) and they told me that I could put in a warranty claim with Samsung. What an absolute disgrace!

I did not accept the repackaged water soaked TV and demanded a refund in full.

Today January 30, 2015. Lazada have not refunded my money or bothered to make contact. This is a WARNING!

Lazada are absolutely incompetent of downright thieves. Surely someone has noticed the almost two and a half thousand Ringitt sitting on their books.

If there is interest I can post pics of the 2 deliveries.

I don't do social media, plus I am pretty sure that LYN would rank higher in Google searches.

EDIT: Feel free to post this onto Lazada's social media if you like. Not sure how long they will let it stay up, as they are probably all on Facebook all the time as they certainly aren't spending their time with customer service or relations.

OMG, this is terrible.

I almost bought a TV from them, but since it's 100 bucks cheaper, i decided not to save the money and go through all these hassle which i afraid the most. I bought it elsewhere, and i got my TV the next day.

but on tuesday, i actually bought my cloud from lazada, surprisingly i received it yesterday. am i lucky or?

OMG! I bough some small stuffs from Lazada too; no problem. For big electrical items, I prefer dept stores like Harvey.

Sometimes might be more expensive but at least I have a peace of mind.

Lazada had repacked the original TV that had been soaked.

They admitted the problem and they never bother to replace the unit?

well done Lazada

Thanks for the feedback regarding going to Police and e-tribunal at kpdnkk.gov.my.

However, I posted this as a warning to others about Lazada's unconscionable behavior. This company has treated our business transaction with utter contempt since they had my money. At no stage during the interaction have they even attempted to treat the consumer with any degree of respect.

Instead they have;
tried to blame the customer from receiving faulty good from their courier company of choice (who is not named on their website). Sneaky.
failed to acknowledge that their systems may have broken down,
attempted to get customer to fill out their paperwork because they are too stupid or lazy to realise that goods are not customers until signed for,
over promised that they were sending a replacement unit immediately even though their courier company advised them of soaking a two and a half grand TV in water,
Lied about sending a replacement unit and causing unnecessary delays to customer by deceitfully waiting for water logged electronic itemto be returned to them in KL, where they repackaged damaged TV in new box without factory seals,
sent TV by same courier company that screwed it up the first time,
A manager at their courier company informed me that Lazada are known for reboxing damaged goods returned to them,
Lazada informed me that I would need to make a warranty claim on the damaged unit (that they sent me twice and both times boxes were water damage) directly with Samsung,
Cheating, if not theft of the payment they received on December 2, 2014.

This is the worst online shopping experience that I have ever experienced, anywhere in the world. Lazada may have a European pedigree but they treated me like dog sh!t.

WHERE IS MY MONEY LAZADA?

You must know who I am unless you regularly mess with customers who buy high end Plasma TVs from you.

I have other means of recourse against this company as paid with international credit card. I have waited this long to follow up as I was certain that they would have sorted it out by now. They have not as they are incompetent, liars, cheats and possibly thieves.

Please share this on your social media .

Well, I think companies that sells online are at the mercy of these cheap skate courier companies. Delivery charges ain't cheap, thus when they offer free shipping, they are forced to select these lousy courier.

One of the item that I bought from Lazada also shipped by Skynet. Guess what? Can't find my place. Next day I called and ask why driver never bother to call for direction. What for do I need to describe the direction with the clerk who's not in charge of driving. There might be some miscommunication among them later too. Before I depart to Skynet Batu Caves, guess what. The dispatch from Skynet arrived to send an office document and yet their lorry driver can't find my office. To make matter worse, their handling is poor but luckily my fan still in one piece despite some part of the box were damaged.

Personally feel gdex handle package better, and driver/co-driver are polite when they called to ask for location.

I thought Lazada use Gdex & Ta-q-Bin only cause at the bottom of their site they list these two couriers.

I wanted to buy a mouse from them but their delivery fee of RM15 is too high.

Not really. I paid RM10 for the fan delivery too. It's just a convenient to pay for shipping nowadays than to drive and beat the traffic. Parking is not free too.

Just curious, how much did you save buying your TV using Lazada versus buying it at a retail store?

I deal with Lazada alot of time but i never bought anything over rm400. The only i got problem with em is wrong color item and they advice me for refund because it might be an issue to exchange other color , which i did. No problems so far

To be honest i wouldn't advice buying expensive like over 1k online especially if it available on retail shop locally. of course they going to offer cheaper to attract buyer but at what cost? Ull might be lucky , but why take unnecessary risk? Just dont end up learn it the harsh way.

Just a feedback, bought a 60" LED TV from Lazada, item arrived in perfect condition in less than one week time.

TV was sent through Skynet.

Bought quite a lot of expensive stuff from Lazada before, only once they shipped wrong item (which is an upgrade) but I did not noticed until notified by them a month later.

I returned it, and refund was made to me in about 2 months time.

I have so far bought 7 items from Lazada without problem. It includes a 40" Samsung UA40h5008 at rm764 only. They overspec some of the items like Asus Fonepad 7 FE170CG 8GB Smartphone (@rm324) but still it is good buy. I tried to buy things from reputable companies like AonePlus, TMTonline and only during special sales like the 12-12-14 Supersales or when the prices are > 20% cheaper.

Welcome to online shopping, I think weekly there are thread ppl complaining about online service.

I also had my fair share of it.

My rule is, only buy hardy stuff or things that are not electronic online (not even handphones!), and always expect the worst and there is nothing you can do about it

Most most things I can get from shops, I rather pay the extra money and time to get it than online shopping

Bought a few items from lazada.com.my lately, using the discount codes, its RM 10-30 cheaper than lelong and such. They always arrive on the 2nd or 3rd day. I think it depends on the merchant. With free shipping some more. There are some questionable merchants there, they need to filter them out. Users need to review more on good and bad merchants. I felt lucky that the merchants I choose were problem free and always give them 4-5 stars reviews.

social media is the way to spread news faster. once remembered a post about lazada doing some bullshit to a customer. posted it on fb, the post went kinda viral with thousand shares and lazada responded the next day with cant remember a refund or item replacement. lazada has no advertisment other than the internet and most of it is concentrated on facebook. best way is to get this issue out on facebook to pressure them

do not buy expensive item from lazada, dont take the risk to RISK yourself. electronic gadget like hi-fi, tv, washing machine, even authentic perfume etc, go to a brick & mortar stall. buy only small and cheap item from online store like cloth, kitchen ware like plates etc.

i used to recommend lazada but they have recently messed up a few of my orders and their solutions have been less than satisfactory for me so i am no longer recommending them to people.

so far i bought tons of stuff through lazada no issue, items from rm500 and below

26" led monitor
xiaomi camera
ip cctv x4
monthly supply of printer ink cartridges
a lot of health supplements
mesh chair
printer

for items without stock also refund back to my bank account

got one time i bought wrong charger for my office macbook, i returned to them and they refunded my money no hassle

of course i only buy from them during promo or using vouchers, most of their normal price products are higher than lelong / other sites, if use vouchers super worth it, almost half price from retail store

I bought a laptop from Lazada at 4 pm on 20th October. Paid by card.

Item arrived in perfect condition today, 22nd October at 12 pm.

To be honest, I've been anxiously tracking my laptop since the 20th, and I think over these 2 days I must've checked once every hour or something because of all the bad reviews I've read online.

Lazada promised me delivery between 22nd to 26th October.

They delivered on everything. Item was new, great condition, bubble-wrapped to the nines and ARRIVED SO FREAKING FAST. I was stunned.

I am extremely pleased that I chose to buy from Lazada. Good experience, and by the way, I even called Skynet up to track my package on the phone.... the cust service officer, a malay guy, actually called me back twice to confirm my package status and update me. And he said the guy would deliver before 2 pm and I got it at 12 pm.

Pretty stoked, yeah.

I bought my 40' Sony W70C LED tv from them to few months back

Checked the website and it said "Stock available", so I proceed with payment and all those stuffs (been charged shipping fee as well although they said "Free Shipping") Once payment done, I check at Lazada's website again and the item's status has been changed to "Out of Stock" or something like that..I thought maybe mine is the last.

Forgot what is the delivery date range but I am sure it is within 1 to 3 days. I have been tracking my TV's delivery status almost every few hours. After 2 days, no changes in delivery status...and so, I called up to Lazada and ask what is happening. Then only they tell me, no more stock available...I went berserk mode right away and said the website was showing the stock is available before I made payment! Worst of all, out of stock already and did not inform me at all! A simple email is sufficient, but none!

They promised me will send out a.s.a.p once stock arrived. So I waited again, for 3 days...call them again and same answer! I just couldn't take it anymore and scolded them over the phone for few minutes and then I hung up the phone and wrote complains on my FB, their FB, lowyat forum and any other social medias I am using.

Few hours later, their CS called me and keep apologizing and say the TV will be sent out the next day. Fortunately, they did sent it out...but wrong size...they upsize my 40' to 48' !

Was actually thinking not to tell them since they made me waited this long, but in the end, I called them and told them about it.

The CS said I would have to return the TV and they will replace me with the correct 1...I said OK no problem, but I want it done by today or latest by the next day...then the CS said cannot, I have to wait another 1 more week! FUUUUUU! I straight blasted the CS and at some point, I guess she was about to cry...asked for the manager and smart enough for the manager to go through my complain on social medias...finally, the manager say I can keep the TV without any extra charges. And that's the end of the story.

Moral of story:
- post your complain online (in social media), it will make a difference at some point of time
- keep tracking your item
- you have all the rights to demand for the item you paid for, do not tolerate with their stupid excuses

The TV got warranty anot? If only 1 year then you should have just diam diam and take it. Furthermore it comes with the card, you could have called the CS for the brand and ask how if u lost receipt but have warranty card. Usually they say ok one. If diedie they dont accept you then only you should call lazada say they send wrong one. Hais wasted.

does the warranty cover your 48" because your receipt will show you bought a 40".
