Depends on the beer guy. If he's hip and trendy then it's a compliment. If he's more conservative probably not. If in doubt, ask.
And yes even if the guy super handsome. If he don't like to be called Leng Chai/Cai every turn then the compliment becomes unwanted attention.

Especially true for girls. If they're insecure, being called Leng Lui by a guy scares them. It's like you're trying to flirt with wolf whistle.
If you think we're bad, wait until you hear Japanese. It's more than age differences for them.

This page explains all

Yes I go to church to worship God. Can't help it though, feels odd to be sitting alone.

You are not alone when God is with you.

Today I watched "Eat, Pray & Love" by Julia Roberts...interesting.

Good guide as to how people on the rebound can seek a way out. Of course, Julia's character was going to ashrams and stuff like that. Not count in the christian context.
*
That movie sucks man. You might as well watch "John Wick."

well i am sitting alone all the time too during sunday service, yet i don't feel embarrassed or odd about it for i know i am here to worship God not to worship people
*
Yes, I agree with your statement. We come to church to worship God. Initially, when I came to church for the first time, I felt out of place. But now, it feels like home.

The service is great, the hymns are wonderful and the sermons are uplifting every week.

The people are fantastic too. They smiled and greet you, have a little chit chat with church goers.

Church service in Malaysia is really different compared to in Europe.

Yes I know. Thanks.

Still feel hurts though.

What is John Wick about?

I like to watch rebound movies like Jerry Mcguire and 50 days of Summer.
*
The movie is about how he loses his wife to illness, and after his wife's death, he received a puppy as a present from his late wife.

Then one day, some idiot mafia son broke into his house and stole his car and killed his puppy. I don't want to reveal too much. Better you watch it yourself.

And so he got so pissed.

Oh yes, its revenge movie. rclxms.gif

But yeah, God reminded us not to take revenge.

Romans 12:19 NIV

Do not take revenge, my dear
friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

Oh ok...will take note of your movie. I am really not for revenge except I cannot believe my ex's girlfriends will influence her with ridiculous ideas in her head to cause the break up.

Today I watched "her"..Its about Joaquin Phoenix gets over his divorce and talks to a computer program (Scarlett Johansson) that continously and autonomousy improves itself. He fell in love with the program and often converse with her via his smartphone. They both develop into a relationship. But one day the program (Scarlett) reach a higher calling and had to leave Joaquin...the last part, really heart breaking. Sob Sob, like my life. Except my ex was more heartless...just left with a long message.
*
Just watch it. Its a good movie.

Beer is cheap in Cambodia...1 mug only $1. I packed 10kg when I came back to Cambodia...I had 4 mugs of beer a night for 3 months (except weekends).

Try their Angkor beer.

Better bring your own anti inflammation for your ankle...like Arcoxia...you will need to do some walking to see Angkor Wat. Also the sun at 12pm-4pm is very unbearablely shinning and hot. Pharmacies in Cambodia are very badly equipped.
*
Yeah, its Cambodia. haha..

Yeah cheap like Thai beer. Cool.

I'm going to sunbathe at Angkor Wat.

Oh, kron_ka, I hope all is well with you. After reading all the posts for 2 hours, let me say that I feel for you too.

No Christians is perfect, I'm sure you know that.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

I hope you will find peace in your life through God, that's what I did too because on my own strength I just could not do it. I experienced my fair share of love joy, heartache and depression myself.

I thought that I could overcome it through alcohol and sex, but I've found comfort in God's words.

God would not just abandon us, I know that too.

I left my baggage of worries and my ex past behind for good. It takes time for everyone but I don't think I want to take 5 years to get over it.

My uncle who's in his 50s got a new gf, who's the same age as me. shakehead.gif doh.gif

I don't want to spend my life chasing shadows and thinking of what IFs, etc...

I really hope you will find peace and joy in God's comforting words.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall profess, within the vail,
A life of joy and peace.

Tina, I am sorry to hear that you have to get over some rough patches. I am hopeful you can get over these rough patches.....as you are young and capable, there's lots of potential guys God has for you.

As for me, my confidence has taken the turn for the worse. I look the mirror, and then the enemy attack me, saying "what an ugly faceproblem guy". I took a picture of myself, then my self esteem came rock bottom. I became self aware of my pimple problem and scars on my face. Don;t get me wrong, I am not trying to draw pitiness here, but thats really how i felt. I believe with confidence anything people can overcome. Like the guy without hands and legs, he preach the good word and he married a beautiful wife.

This time around I really need to approach God. He's the only way. Its either thhat, or the long road down depression street which could lead to suicide. No sir, I don't want that path. I have a friend who threw himself from a building years ago, after his gf left him.

The enemy knows my biggest weak is my yearning for a relationship, he;s using the backdoor to attack me. I have to guard my heart at all cost.

Whoa, I tell you the enemy is cunning, he knows where to attack us. Just as I overcome a bit, trying to forget my ex, he comes back at me with a host of other attacks.
*
I am over my rough patch, thank you.

If you want to reduce weight, then you got to exercise. In fact I'm "training" one forum member, but he's a self confessed gamer geek, so lately I haven't heard any news. Maybe he got bloated by all the CNY food. laugh.gif

Do what ever it takes to improve your lifestyle, but please no cheating, ie, starving yourself and those fancy diet don't work.

As pimple and scars, you can always try home remedies. Try to get some fresh aloe vera or aloe vera gel and apply it over your face, skin, etc.

Baking soda and apple cider works too. This home remedies only worked for mild acne though. Personally, I have tried baking soda, aloe vera and honey. It worked for me because my acne wasn't that bad when I was a teenager. hehehe...

Please consult a qualified dermatologist first.

Life is too beautiful to waste. God won't let us suffer forever, he loves us and if people judged us, what can we do? We just live our lives for God and move on. We pray for God's strength, wisdom, mercy and devotion.

Do not dwell on small and silly things to let us down.

Ecclesiastes 2.17

So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Maybe God want to teach us something. The trip to Cambodia really opened my eyes. So many deprived little children, begging for money and food.

And here I'm complaining about the next Prada bag that I wanted to buy. doh.gif

I tell you one embarassing thing when i was in primary school. Last time my family was poor, I could not afford to buy Hair Jell..so my mom used to plant Aloe Vera plants so that I could use it to comb my hair.

It produced very funny results, my classmates used to make fun of my hair...because it looked like Cameron Diaz hair in the movie "there's something about Mary".
*
Haiya, you should tell them, this "Hair Gel" is an organic product, environmentally friendly and expensive. Wait...they don't have "organic products" during your time right? hmm.gif

"There's something about Mary"? Hah, I'm only 7 years old then..Nice movie eh? Maybe I download it tonight and watch it tomorrow. I like Ben Stiller's movies.

I trying not to dwell on those sad stuff. But today I went to dermatologist, he didnt want to prescribe Roaccutane at first. BUt i insisted. Roaccutane is a drugthat is very effective for pimples...but got very big side effects. It can exacerbate depression. Just now I took 20mg...i cross my finger and hope tonight I can sleep well without sadness.

Yeah I lived in Cambodia for 3 months. Actually i felt quite at home, because there are a bunch of Malaysian expats that hang around Phnom Penh...they always hang about this bar called Chicago Grill...owned by a malaysian johorean.

But I need to look better, maybe can give me a confidence booster when I go for laser treatment. Its expensive...but hey like I said, the money I saved up for future wife and kids that don't exist...I mind as well spend it on myself, LoL.

Btw, wah long thai drama...

Oh no why! Drugs are bad dude. My father and I got stomach ache for 2 days... rclxub.gif Luckily we brought along some medicine.
